Russian President Putin Meets Defense Minister Shoigu to Discuss Partial Mobilization








Last month, Russia announced it would mobilize 300,000 new troops, drafting people with military specialties and experience in order to protect the country, as Russian forces are fighting in a special operation in Ukraine.







President Vladimir Putin met Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu to discuss the partial mobilization in the country amid the special military operation in Ukraine.


️️Shoigu said :"The partial mobilization task of 300 thousand people has been completed, no additional tasks planned"


Shoigu reported to Putin the details of past partial mobilizations and announced their completion.






1,300 government representatives, 27,000 businessmen, 13,000 volunteers were called in and sent to the troops. The average age of those mobilized was 35 years.







After the training, 82,000 were sent to the special operations area, of which 41,000 were operating as part of the unit, 218,000 were trained on the training grounds.


Those who participated in hostilities would receive veteran status.


"The military commissariat, in the context of special military operations, will continue to recruit troops only by accepting volunteers and candidates for military service under contract"
