Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, who heads the country’s delegation to the G20 summit in Indonesia, has arrived at the event’s venue.
He was welcomed by Indonesian President Joko Widodo, the two shook hands.
The first session of the summit is dedicated to food and energy security. The parties will discuss healthcare issues later in the day.
The third session, which will take place on November 16, will focus on digital transformation.
The 17th G20 summit kicks off in Bali, as leaders from across the world are gathering for Day One of the event. This year, the group of twenty meets under the Indonesian presidency in order to discuss global health, sustainable energy transition and the digital transformation, among other issues.
