Diguyur Hujan Lebat, Satu Rumah Rusak Berat dan Tujuh Terancam Pergerakan Tanah

Hujan deras memicu terjadinya bencana pergerakan tanah di Kampung Legoktangkolo, Kabupaten Sukabumi, Jawa Barat yang mengakibatkan satu rumah warga mengalami rusak berat dan tujuh lainnya terancam.

"Bencana pergerakan tanah yang terjadi di RT 07/01, Desa Bantarkalong, Kecamatan Warungkiara tidak menimbulkan korban jiwa, namun satu kepala keluarga yang berjumlah lima jiwa harus mengungsi karena rumahnya rusak berat," kata Manager Pusdalops PB BPBD Kabupaten Sukabumi Nanang Sudrajat di Sukabumi, hari Sabtu, 19/11/2022.

Informasi yang dihimpun dari petugas BPBD Kabupaten Sukabumi, bencana pergerakan tanah ini dipicu oleh hujan deras yang mengguyur kampung tersebut hampir setiap hari sehingga kondisi tanah menjadi labil dan akhirnya bergeser/bergerak.

Akibat bencana ini tanah di sekitar lokasi permukiman warga yang terdampak menjadi terbelah sepanjang sekitar 70 meter dengan kedalaman 1,5 meter. Akibatnya pondasi rumah warga menjadi amblas.

Menurut Nanang, dari hasil pendataan yang dilakukan Petugas Penanggulangan Bencana Kecamatan (P2BK) Warungkiara, satu rumah rusak berat dihuni oleh lima jiwa yang saat penyintas sudah diungsikan ke rumah kerabatnya.

Sementara, tujuh rumah lainnya yang terancam dihuni oleh tujuh kepala keluarga atau 27 jiwa. Untuk kerugian akibat pergerakan tanah ini ditaksir mencapai Rp50 juta dan tidak menutup kemungkinan lahan yang terdampak luasnya akan terus bertambah.

"Kami mengimbau kepada warga yang rumahnya berada di area pergerakan tanah untuk selalu waspada atau mengungsi sementara ke tempat yang lebih antisipasi terjadi hal yang tidak diinginkan," tambahnya.

Nanang mengatakan hingga saat ini petugasnya masih berada di lokasi bersama personel TNI, Polri, Satuan Polisi Pamong Praja (Satpol PP) serta relawan untuk memantau perkembangan bencana pergerakan tanah serta membantu warga yang terdampak.

The ideas that EU top diplomat Josep Borrell disseminates among member states of the European Union show no sign of the bloc’s strategic vision on the Russian track and provoke a new prolonged split in Europe, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said in a commentary on Saturday.

"Unfortunately, the ideas that EU top diplomat Borrell spreads among member states of the European Union do not contain, as before, any hint at the EU’s strategic vision on the Russian track and only provoke Europe’s new prolonged split. They offer no recipes for resolving accumulated problems, as if Russia and the European Union as geographical and civilizational neighbors can get away from each other," the diplomat said, commenting on Borrell’s six-point proposals on the EU’s common approaches to relations with Russia amid the Ukraine crisis.

Hence the conclusion that the goal of the current EU leaders is to be quick to give a reasonable explanation to the attempts at bringing the relations with Russia to the state of political confrontation, depriving them of their common history and economic base, Zakharova pointed out.

"There can be seen the desire to limit the opportunities for future politicians to find a way out of this profound crisis. Beyond any doubt, most of the European society shows the need for quite the opposite in the current conditions," the spokeswoman said.

Borrell, apparently, does not abandon the desire to write down his name into the world and European history with dubious initiatives, the diplomat pointed out.

"However, the Spaniard has so far distinguished himself as the EU’s most confrontational high-level official for all the time who will be remembered for his belligerent calls for ‘the war must be won on the battlefield’ and racist pronouncements about the ‘European garden’ and ‘the jungle’ besetting Europeans," the spokeswoman recalled.

It is still early to talk about the results of the discussions within the EU on the bloc’s relations with Russia as these discussions continue but Moscow has no illusions on this score, the diplomat stressed.

Six-point proposal

Commenting on the essence of Borrell’s six-point proposal, the Russian diplomat said this was evidence that the Ukraine problem with the 2014 state coup inspired by the West had been artificially created as an ideological cover-up for the political, economic, technological and humanitarian containment of Russia to ensure the West’s hegemony in Europe and the world as a whole.

"This is why, there is not a word in J. Borrell’s proposals on settling the Ukraine crisis through negotiations and generally on ensuring security in Europe," Zakharova pointed out.

Brussels has staked on "destabilizing" the internal political situation in Russia, cleansing the EU’s information space from alternative viewpoints, securing the Western Balkans as the sphere of the EU’s influence, transferring rivalry with Moscow to the post-Soviet space, imposing West-centric "rules" and "isolating" Russia, the diplomat pointed out.

"The latter is the obsessive idea that has become a real goal in itself for the EU - a futile intent that bears solely costs for European Union countries and their citizens who have to pay for their politicians’ strategic blunders from their own pocket," Zakharova added.

"Indicatively, most world capitals are unready to follow the EU’s Brussels which by its mediaeval logic returns the world to the time of the split, high walls and besieged fortresses. Using the present-day terminology, it can be said that the EU leadership that has apparently been infected by some abnormal political virus has decided to self-isolate from Russia," the spokeswoman went on to say.

Moscow believes that the practical relevance of the results of the intra-EU discussions will largely depend on accepting new realities "on the ground" and the awareness of the need to build security on the common European continent together with Russia as the option that has no alternative, the ability of European capitals to protect, relying on their own sovereignty, the interests of their citizens and the European Union as a whole "without turning into a secondary instrument of the geopolitical expansion of the United States and NATO," the Russian diplomat stressed.

2 deaths reported as 'lake-effect' snowstorm paralyzes western New York

An early winter "lake effect" storm dumped heavy snows on parts of western New York state on Friday, with at least two deaths reported, travel disrupted and icy powder expected to pile higher through the weekend.

The squalls blowing in from Lake Erie and Lake Ontario had dumped 3 to 5 feet (1-1.5 meters) or more of snow. Authorities said the deaths appeared to be from heart attacks due to overexertion while clearing snow in hard-hit Erie County.

As temperatures plunged, the region's first major snowstorm of the season materialized on Thursday and intensified overnight into Friday, well before the start of winter on Dec. 21.

Lake-effect squalls unleashed sporadic bursts of heavy precipitation throughout the day, burying some areas in several feet of snow, and were expected to persist through Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.

By Friday evening, the weather service reported 5 1/2 feet (1.7 meters) of snow measured in the Erie County village of Orchard Park, 15 miles (25 km) south of Buffalo and more directly in the downwind of path of frozen moisture blasting inland off Lake Erie.

Accumulations of 3 to 4 feet and more were recorded at several adjacent locales by late afternoon, while Buffalo, the state's second-most populous city with some 278,000 residents, awoke to nearly 14 inches (36 cm) Friday morning.

Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz reported a partial building collapse from the weight of fallen snow in the town of Hamburg, but no further details were immediately available.

As the storm gained momentum, the weather service cited multiple instances in which snow squalls were accompanied by claps of thunder and flashes of lightning, a phenomenon called "thunder snow."

High winds and snow-draped tree limbs and power lines knocked out electricity to thousands of customers, while the storm also forced traffic closures along the New York Thruway and several other major highways.

All but five of nearly 80 flights scheduled to depart from the Buffalo Niagara International Airport on Friday were canceled, said the facility's aviation director Lee Weitz.

'SNOW KING'

Even so, many western New Yorkers, accustomed to bouts of severe winter weather seemed unfazed.

A Twitter user going by the name of @BuffaloSnowKing posted a video of himself standing outside late on Thursday evening as snow blanketed his yard. "How can you not enjoy this weather?!" he tweeted.

As of early Friday, road-travel bans that had kept motorists off the streets overnight remained in effect for much of the central part of Erie County. Mandatory restrictions were lifted, at least temporarily, in lieu of travel advisories in northern and southern parts of the county, including Buffalo.

With snow coming down at the rate of 1 to 3 inches an hour, plow crews struggled to keep roads clear, and the strain of snow removal proved too much for some.

"Unfortunately, we must report the passing of two Erie County residents associated with cardiac events related to exertion during shoveling/snow blowing," Poloncarz tweeted.

Snowfalls of such proportions are not uncommon for western New York in November, when the relatively warm waters of the Great Lakes can mix with frigid air in the upper atmosphere dropping down from the Arctic, according to the weather service.

Illustrating the highly localized nature of lake-effect snow, accumulation levels varied widely across the region. Still, 11 counties remained under an emergency declaration issued on Thursday by New York Governor Kathy Hochul.

Erie County closed its offices on Friday, though essential staffers were to report to work. The Buffalo Public Schools district, the state's second-largest serving 32,000 students, canceled all classes and closed offices on Friday.

The prospect of up to 4-1/2 feet of powder on the ground by the close of the weekend prompted the National Football League to move the Buffalo Bills' Sunday home game against the Cleveland Browns to Detroit.

The storm developed as temperatures for the region, and much of the rest of the northern United States, plunged 10 to 20 degrees Fahrenheit (5-10 degrees Celsius) below average for this time of year, said Rich Otto, a Storm Prediction Center meteorologist in College Park, Maryland.

Bunga bangkai merupakan tumbuhan dataran rendah dari daerah tropis dan lembab yang menyebar ke arah timur dari Afrika Barat hingga pulau-pulau di Samudera Pasifik. Jenis ini tidak ditemukan di Amerika Serikat, meskipun kerabatnya, Dracontium, tumbuh di sana.

Ramuan tumbuh terutama di hutan hujan dataran rendah, hutan musiman termasuk hutan terganggu, hutan sekunder dan lahan pertanian.

Jarang ditemukan di tanah kapur, bunga bangkai terkadang ditemukan di ladang yang ditinggalkan. Dari sekitar 25 spesies tumbuhan yang tumbuh di Indonesia, 18 diantaranya endemik: 8 terbatas di Sumatera, 5 di Jawa, 3 di Kalimantan, dan 1 endemik di Sulawesi.

All missile troops of the Russian Armed Forces have been re-equipped with a modern and unique Iskander-M complex, according to a publication on the official website of the Ministry of Defense.

"Currently, all missile forces have been re-equipped with the modern Iskander-M missile system, which has no analogues in the world. Rocket artillery and... formations are being armed with modern samples that were successfully used in a special military operation," the ministry said.

The ministry also clarified that multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) are being delivered to the rocket formations both large and medium caliber of the Tornado family (Tornado-S MLRS of 300mm caliber and Tornado-G MLRS of 122mm caliber).

In addition, it is emphasized that the arsenals of artillery units continue to be replenished with upgraded self-propelled howitzers 2S19M2 "Msta-S", which have an increased rate of fire.

This combat vehicle is capable of operating in a "barrage of fire" mode, during which several shells fired from the same gun at different angles simultaneously reach the target, thereby increasing the density of fire and ensuring guaranteed defeat of the enemy.

Russian troops have used the first unmanned reconnaissance and strike system during the special military operation in Ukraine, which ensures high efficiency in destroying Ukrainian targets, an informed source tells Sputnik.

"Russia has created a reconnaissance strike system that includes both reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicles of various classes and ZALA Aero strike drones. The system was tested during the special military operation and showed high detection and destruction efficiency in tactical and operational-tactical depth of such typical targets as accumulations of manpower, armored vehicles, artillery systems and enemy air defense systems," the source said.

The source specified that the system includes drones such as ZALA 421-16E, as well as Russian loitering munitions Izdeliye-51 and Izdeliye-52 (formerly the Lancet), and the KUB kamikaze drone.

Polisi Usut Kasus Perundungan Siswa SMP di Bandung yang Kepalanya Ditendang hingga Pingsan

Sebuah video viral di Twitter yang memperlihatkan seorang siswa mendapat aksi kekerasan oleh teman sekelasnya. Diketahui, kejadian ini terjadi di SMP Plus Baiturrahman, Bandung.

Dalam video yang diunggah oleh akun Twitter @salmandoang pada hari Jumat, 18/11/2022, terlihat ada pelaku bullying menjadikan kepala korban sebagai sasaran pukulan.

Polrestabes Bandung tengah mengusut kasus perundungan terhadap seorang siswa SMP Baiturrahman di Kecamatan Ujungberung, Kota Bandung, Jawa Barat. Saat itu keala korban ditendang oleh teman sekelasnya hingga pingsan.

Kepala Polsek Ujungberung, Komisaris Polisi Karyaman, mengatakan aksi perundungan itu terjadi saat jeda jam pelajaran. Akibatnya, kata dia, korban perlu dilarikan ke rumah sakit untuk mendapat tindakan medis.

"Yang bersangkutan dibawa ke RS, untuk pemeriksaan secara medis, dan kita sudah minta hasil visum-nya," kata Karyaman di Polsek Ujungberung, Bandung, Jawa Barat, hari Sabtu, 19/11/2022.

Ia menjelaskan, peristiwa itu terjadi pada hari Kamis, 17/11 sekitar pukul 09.15 WIB.

Aksi perundungan itu pun terekam dalam video berdurasi 21 detik yang tersebar di media sosial hingga menuai kecaman warganet.

Dalam video itu, tampak korban duduk di kursi kelasnya dan dipaksa mengenakan helm sambil dikerubungi oleh teman-teman sekelasnya.

Kemudian salah seorang pelaku menendang beberapa kali kepala korban yang mengenakan helm hingga korban terjatuh ke lantai.

Ia mengatakan kini pelaku yang masih di bawah umur itu telah diamankan di Polsek Ujungberung.

Selain itu, pihaknya juga telah memeriksa sekitar lima orang saksi terkait perundungan tersebut.

Meski begitu, dia mengatakan tak menutup kemungkinan ada upaya mediasi dalam kasus tersebut. Dia pun memastikan saat ini kondisi korban sudah mulai membaik setelah mengalami kekerasan.

"Karena tidak menutup kemungkinan ada upaya lain, yang penting kita sudah melaksanakan kegiatan proses penyelidikan maupun penyidikan nantinya," kata Karyaman.

Meski begitu, dia mengatakan tak menutup kemungkinan ada upaya mediasi dalam kasus tersebut. Dia pun memastikan saat ini kondisi korban sudah mulai membaik setelah mengalami kekerasan.

"Karena tidak menutup kemungkinan ada upaya lain, yang penting kita sudah melaksanakan kegiatan proses penyelidikan maupun penyidikan nantinya," kata Karyaman.

Sementara itu, Kepala Sekolah SMP Baiturrahman, Saifullah A Muthalib, menyesalkan perundungan tersebut. Dia mengaku bakal mengevaluasi dan mengetatkan kembali pengawasan di sekolahnya tersebut.

"Kami ada pemberian efek jera kepada pelaku itu melalui teguran, nasehat, dan mungkin pelaku tidak bakal melakukan pembelajaran bersama siswa lainnya (dipisahkan)," kata dia.

Semeentara itu paman korban memberikan kabar mengejutkan atas kejadian bullying kepada keponakannya tersebut.

Ia membeberkan bahwa pihak sekolah terkesan menutup-nutupi aksi bullying yang dilakukan salah satu siswanya tersebut.

“Iya, ini sedang kita proses. Yang bikin makin sakit itu adalah sekolahnya gak bereaksi apa-apa setelah pihak keluarga mengadu kesana. Bahkan terkesan menutup-nutupi,” tulis Jaka melalui pesan singkat hasil screenshot dari obrolannya dengan akun Twitter @salmandoang.

“Dan teman-teman sekelasnya juga gak mau cerita, pada takut,” tambahnya.

Menurut Jaka, aksi bullying ini bukan pertama kali, peristiwa ini sering menimpa ponakannya. Hanya saja baru kali ini ada yang merekamnya.

“Tapi kata teman-temannya itu udah sering kejadian, tapi baru kali ini di videoin,”tutur Jaka.

Menurutnya, ponakannya tersebut merupakan anak yang pendiam. Bahkan orang tuanya sendiri mengakui jika siswa SMP itu pendiam.

“Ini ponakan gue memang kepribadiannya pendiam, orang tuanya juga mengaku anaknya pendiam.” ujar Jaka.

Ex-US Treasury Secretary Mnuchin Dismisses G7 Price Cap on Russian Oil That Regarded As 'Most Ridiculous Idea'

The Biden administration is pushing other nations to adopt an arbitrary price cap on Russian energy exports as its latest effort to undermine Moscow. However, many economists are skeptical of the effort for its anti-market nature, especially in such a volatile and essential field.

The latest figure to speak out against the proposed price cap is former US Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin, who said on Friday that the idea was “not only not feasible, I think it’s the most ridiculous idea I’ve ever heard.”

However, Mnuchin, who under former US President Donald Trump managed the sanctions regimes imposed on nations from Venezuela to Iran, said they could have had “a big impact” on Moscow’s thinking if they had been imposed before the start of the special operation in Ukraine in February 2022.

“I think the problem now is that there’s limited options ... there’s parts of the world that are now buying Russian oil outside of US sanctions,” he said. “But look, a price cap, the market is going to set the price. So if you put sanctions on at higher prices, in a way you’re just making the situation worse, in my opinion.”

Mnuchin’s comments come after reports that the Group of Seven (G7) agreed on a price cap at an emergency meeting this week, called after a missile struck a Polish town on the Ukrainian border, killing two people. While initial reports suggested it could have been a Russian weapon, Warsaw and Washington both later said it was most likely an errant Ukrainian S-300 air defense missile.

However, the topic has been debated for weeks, as Europe struggles to comply with American demands for a total boycott of Russian energy exports and winter nears. According to the plan, trade necessities such as insurance, financing, and access to maritime routes would be withheld from Russian sellers unless the petroleum product was sold at or below a price selected and fixed by Western nations.

The US boycott has helped push up the price of oil and gas around the globe, which has had the opposite of its intended effect, buttressing Russian profits as Moscow shifts from Europe to new buyers in Asia instead of losing out on sales altogether.

The price cap is seen as an attempt to undermine this new advantage and at the same time bring down prices worldwide, which are helping to drive record-high inflation.

For nations that depend heavily on importing Russian gas and oil, such as India, the price cap could be catastrophic, although the present US Treasury Secretary, Janet Yellen, has tried to convince New Delhi that the cap would yield “bargain prices.” That is assuming, of course, that Russia decides to sell oil at the capped price - as it did in September, when the European Union imposed a price cap on Russia gas, resulting in a shutoff of the Nord Stream 1 pipeline.

Choosing to ignore the price cap, however, brings its own price: potentially being cut off from Western resources.

The G7 reportedly plans to have the price cap in operation on December 5, when the EU’s ban on Russian crude oil imports begins. The Brussels-based bloc will ban all other Russian oil products after February 5, 2023.

Warga Dusun Mindi Desa Sugihwaras Kecamatan Sugihwaras Kabupaten Bojonegoro digegerkan kemunculan dua pocong jenazah yang tiba-tiba keluar dari dalam tanah di pemakaman setempat.

Setelah dilihat ternyata hal itu disebabkan karena tanah di area makam mengalami longsor. Akibatnya, jenazah yang berusia belasan tahun muncul dari dalam. Dua jenazah itu akhirnya dimakamkan lagi oleh warga setempat secara gotong royong.

Dalam unggahan video amatir, dua sosok mayat yang muncul ke permukaan itu terbalut kafan yang masih utuh. Peristiwa ini dibenarkan Kepala Desa Sugihwaras, Amir.

Amir mengatakan, dua makam yang terkena longsor akibar banjir itu oleh pihak keluarga kemudian dipindah ke lokasi lain. Menurut dia, dua makam yang terdampak longsor itu memang lokasinya di tebing sungai dan rawan tergerus banjir.

"Karena dikhawatirkan terjadi longsor susulan, sehingga makam tersebut dipindahkan," katanya dikutip dari beritajatim.com jejaring media suara.com, hari Jumat, 18/11/2022.

Kades Amir menambahkan, sebelumnya sungai di dusun setempat terjadi banjir. Sehingga tebing sungai yang berada di pinggir makam mengalami longsor.

Karena dari pihak keluarga khawatir ada longsor susulan, sehingga atas inisiatif dan rembug keluarga, pada hari Rabu, 16/11/2022, sekitar pukul 10.00 WIB, dua makam itu dipindah.

"Begitu sebenarnya. Jadi bukan temuan. Dibongkar kemarin, lalu dipindah di tempat pemakaman yang sama. Cuma posisinya saja agak jauh dari tebing sungai yang longsor," katanya.

Kades membenarkan saat dibongkar, kondisi kedua jasad tersebut bungkus kain kafannya masih utuh. Namun, dia tidak dapat memastikan apakah kedua jasad di dalamnya masih utuh.

"Kalau mori (kafan) yang masih utuh itu saya benarkan. Dua-duanya memang masih utuh. Artinya utuh itu kita tidak tahu di dalamnya, tetapi posisi kain morinya masih utuh. Kalau di dalamnya tidak sampai diperiksa," kata Amir.

Saat ditanya terkait identitas kedua jasad tersebut, Amir mengaku kurang tahu persis, termasuk kapan kedua jasad tersebut meninggal dunia.

"Kalau kaitan dengan identitas termasuk meninggalnya sudah berapa tahun, saya kurang paham. Kabarnya kedua jasad itu bersaudara. Nanti hubungi pihak keluarga ya," kata Kades.

Sementara itu, saat awak media ini menghubungi salah satu pihak keluarga, nomor teleponnya tidak aktif, sehingga saat berita ini ditulis, identitas kedua jasad termasuk kapan meninggalnya masih belum diketahui secara pasti
