Wakil ketua Dewan Perwakilan Daerah (DPD) RI Sultan B Najamudin menyesalkan adanya video viral yang memperlihatkan sikap frustasi beberapa petani tomat akibat hasil panennya dihargai murah oleh pembeli.

Meski demikian, mantan ketua HIPMI Bengkulu itu menilai sikap petani tersebut merupakan bentuk protes terhadap kealpaan negara dalam tata niaga komoditas hortikultura di daerah. Artinya masih terdapat kekosongan mata rantai pasok produk hortikultura yang terintegrasi secara langsung.

"Peristiwa ini tentu sangat ironis jika melihat tingginya tingkat konsumsi bahan pelengkap makanan yang bersumber dari produk hortikultura. Padahal Masyarakat kita sangat doyan sambal dan saos tomat juga produk olahan tomat lainnya", ujar Sultan melalui keterangan resminya pada hari Rabu, 25/01/2023.

Menurutnya, kehadiran industri pengolahan dengan skala kecil di tengah industri hortikultura adalah mutlak adanya. Hal ini dibutuhkan mengingat karakter produk hortikultura yang mudah rusak dan sering terjadi over supplai.

"Pemerintah diharapkan mampu melihat potensi produksi hortikultura di daerah dengan memberdayakan masyarakat setempat sebagai pelaku industri pengolahan hasil pertanian. Kasus Tomat ini adalah contoh betapa sistem pengembangan hortikultura kita masih jauh dari standar industri yang terintegrasi di sektor hilir pertanian", tegasnya.

Sebagai informasi, sejumlah petani di Pekon (Desa) Hanakau, Kecamatan Sukau Kabupaten Lampung Barat, membuang ratusan kilogram buah tomat hasil panen ke jurang. Hal ini terekam dalam sebuah video yang viral di media sosial.

Dalam video tersebut terlihat dua orang petani membuang satu peti tomat ke jurang. Selain itu, terlihat juga sejumlah peti berisi tomat matang lainnya yang berada di mobil pick up. "Tomat murah enggak laku, lebih mahal kotaknya daripada buah tomat," ujar salah seorang petani yang ada dalam video tersebut.

Dalam caption video tertulis bahwa petani kesal lantaran harga jual tomat jatuh. Kemudian diketahui petani tersebut berasal dari Desa Pekon Hanakau, Kecamatan Sukau, Kabupaten Lampung Barat. Pudin, salah satu petani, menjelaskan penyebab kejadian buang-buang tomat itu.

"Pasarannya lagi sepi, peminatnya kurang, sedangkan yang panen banyak, sekarang harga hanya Rp 800, nggak ketutupan sama modalnya," kata Pudin dikutip dari Antara pada Rabu, 25 Januari 2023.

Menurut Pudin, bulan lalu harga tomat masih berkisar Rp 4.000 per kilogram. Namun saat ini harganya anjlok di kisaran Rp 600 hingga Rp 800 per kilogram.

Turunnya harga tomat lantaran petani sedang mengalami masa panen. Ia menuturkan dalam sekali panen petani bisa menghasilkan 400 hingga 500 kotak tergantung luas lahan tanam.

Gunung Semeru Tercatat 2 Kali Erupsi Dalam 1 Jam

Gunung Semeru terpantau mengalami erupsi pada Rabu (25/1/2023). PVMBG Pos Pengamatan Gunungapi Semeru mencatat erupsi pertama kali terjadi pada pukul 04:50 WIB, dengan tinggi kolom abu mencapai 500 meter dari puncak Semeru.

Gunung Semeru pagi ini, hari Rabu, 25/01/2023, terjadi dua kali erupsi. Kedua letusan dengan interval kurang lebih satu jam, yaitu pukul 04.50 WIB dan 05.40 WIB.

Pusat Vulkanologi dan Mitigasi Bencana Geologi (PVMBG) Badan Geologi Kementerian Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral (ESDM) melaporkan, bahwa tinggi kolom letusan pertama 500 meter dan 600 meter di atas puncak.

“Terjadi erupsi Gunung Semeru pada hari Rabu, 25 Januari 2023, pukul 05:40 WIB. Tinggi kolom letusan teramati ± 600 meter di atas puncak (± 4.276 meter di atas permukaan laut),” ungkap Petugas Pos Pengamatan Gunung Semeru, Mukdas Sofian lewat laman resmi PVMBG, pada Rabu, 25/01/2023.

Mukdas Sofian menyampaikan kolom abu teramati berwarna putih hingga kelabu dengan intensitas tebal ke arah utara. “Erupsi terekam di seismograf dengan amplitudo maksimum 20 mm dan durasi 110 detik,” katanya.

Sementara itu, saat ini masyarakat diimbau tidak melakukan aktivitas apapun di sektor tenggara di sepanjang Besuk Kobokan, sejauh 13 km dari puncak (pusat erupsi).

“Di luar jarak tersebut, masyarakat tidak melakukan aktivitas pada jarak 500 meter dari tepi sungai (sempadan sungai) di sepanjang Besuk Kobokan karena berpotensi terlanda perluasan awan panas dan aliran lahar hingga jarak 17 km dari puncak,” kata Mukdas Sofian.

Selain itu, Mukdas mengatakan masyarakat juga diminta tidak beraktivitas dalam radius 5 kilometer dari kawah atau puncak Gunung Api Semeru karena rawan terhadap bahaya lontaran batu (pijar).

“Mewaspadai potensi awan panas guguran (APG), guguran lava, dan lahar di sepanjang aliran sungai atau lembah yang berhulu di puncak Gunung Api Semeru, terutama sepanjang Besuk Kobokan, Besuk Bang, Besuk Kembar, dan Besuk Sat serta potensi lahar pada sungai-sungai kecil yang merupakan anak sungai dari Besuk Kobokan,” imbaunya.

US Sues Google for 15 Years of Monopoly, Advertising Abuse

The Justice Department and the attorney-generals of eight US states filed a joint lawsuit against Google, determining to end its 15 years of monopoly of the internet through alleged abuses of the digital advertising space.

"For 15 years, Google has pursued a course of anticompetitive conduct that has allowed it to halt the rise of rival technologies, manipulate auction mechanics, to insulate itself from competition, and force advertisers and publishers to use its tools," US Attorney General Merrick Garland told a news conference on Tuesday.

Joined by the attorney-generals of Virginia, California, Colorado, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island and Connecticut, the Justice Department alleged in the lawsuit that Google has “corrupted legitimate competition in the ad tech industry by engaging in a systematic campaign to seize control of the wide swath of high-tech tools used by publishers, advertisers, and brokers, to facilitate digital advertising.”

Having inserted itself into all aspects of the digital advertising marketplace, the internet giant has also used “anticompetitive, exclusionary, and unlawful means to eliminate or severely diminish any threat to its dominance over digital advertising technologies," the 155-page lawsuit contended.

Citing examples, the Justice Department said Google designed a system to force two million online advertisers, including US government agencies such as the military, to pay higher advertising rates.

Federal agencies and departments have purchased more than $100 million in web advertising since 2019, and had to pay "supra-competitive fees" and "manipulated advertising prices," the lawsuit added.

In remedy, the prosecutors asked that a federal judge force Google to break up its advertising segment from the rest of the company - not unlike the decision against Microsoft two decades ago that preceded the eventual loss of dominance of that tech giant founded by Bill Gates, before its replacement by Google.

Google, in response to the lawsuit, said the advertising sector has "plenty of competition" and that the case against it will only make buying of advertisements more expensive for online consumers.

"Today's lawsuit from the DOJ attempts to pick winners and losers in the highly competitive advertising technology sector," the Internet giant said in a statement, referring to the Department of Justice. "DOJ is doubling down on a flawed argument that would slow innovation, raise advertising fees, and make it harder for thousands of small businesses and publishers to grow."

This is not the first time Google is facing a joint lawsuit from the Justice Department and multiple US attorney-generals at once. In 2020, a similar action was brought against the company by a coalition of prosecutors with a narrower focus on Google's advertising business. A federal judge in September allowed the case to move forward, while narrowing the scope of the allegations.

• Memiliki Indeks Prestasi Kumulatif (IPK) dan persyaratan Bahasa sesuai dengan ketentuan yang ditetapkan pada masing-masing program beasiswa.



• Beasiswa hanya diperuntukkan untuk kelas reguler atau kelas yang ditetapkan oleh LPDP



• Menyetujui surat pernyataan yang telah disediakan pada aplikasi pendaftaran beasiswa LPDP. Menulis profil diri termasuk riwayat pendidikan yang tidak diselesaikan pada aplikasi pendaftaran.



• Menulis komitmen kembali ke Indonesia, rencana pasca studi, dan rencana kontribusi di Indonesia.



• Menulis Proposal Penelitian bagi pendaftar program pendidikan doktor.



• Jika pendaftar memiliki publikasi ilmiah, prestasi kejuaraan/non kejuaraan, dan pengalaman organisasi maka pendaftar mengisi riwayat publikasi ilmiah, prestasi kejuaraan/non kejuaraan, dan pengalaman organisasi pada aplikasi pendaftaran.

Pendaftar juga harus memastikan dokumen-dokumen pendukung seperti Surat Rekomendasi, Surat Keterangan atau yang sejenis diterbitkan pada tahun 2023 dan sesuai ketentuan LPDP.

Berikut tiga kategori beasiswa LPDP 2023:

1. Reguler (umum):
   
   Beasiswa Perguruan Tinggi Utama Dunia (PTUD), beasiswa reguler, dan beasiswa co-funding;



2. Afirmasi:
   
   Beasiswa Putra-Putri Papua, Beasiswa Daerah Afirmasi, Beasiswa Penyandang Disabilitas, dan Beasiswa Prasejahtera;



3. Targeted:
   
   Beasiswa Pendidikan Kader Ulama; Beasiswa PNS, TNI, dan Polri; Beasiswa Kerja Sama Bidang Metalurgi dan Sains Material; dan Beasiswa Kewirausahaan.

Menjelang pembukaan seleksi beasiswa LPDP tahap 1 tahun 2023, tim LPDP mengadakan sosialisasi luring ke enam kota di Indonesia.

Sosialisasi kali ini dilakukan di berbagai kampus Indonesia Timur dan Barat. Majene, Nias, dan Tarakan menjadi tiga kota pertama yang dikunjungi LPDP pada Kamis, 19 Januari 2023.

Di Majene, acara sosialisasi pembukaan seleksi beasiswa LPDP bertempat di Universitas Sulawesi Barat. Acara yang dimulai pukul 09.00 WITA ini berjalan penuh antusias dengan dihadiri 427 peserta.

Di Nias, acara dimulai pukul 09:00 WIB yang bertempat di Universitas Nias Raya dan dihadiri 209 peserta. Sementara di Universitas Borneo Tarakan, tercatat 350 peserta menghadiri acara sosialisasi ini.

Seluruh acara sosialisasi pembukaan seleksi beasiswa LPDP tahap 1 di tiga kampus ini berjalan sukses dengan sambutan dan antusiasme para peserta yang luar biasa.

Setelah menyambangi Tarakan, Nias, dan Majene, acara sosialisasi pembukaan seleksi beasiswa LPDP akan hadir di Universitas Nusa Cendana Kupang pada 24 Januari 2023 serta Universitas Khairun Ternate dan IISIP Yapis Biak pada 26 Januari 2023.

Colombian President Gustavo Petro confirmed on Tuesday that Washington had suggested that Colombia transferred Russian-made military weapons to Ukraine, but the republic rejected this proposal.

"During a conversation with US General Laura Richardson and other US officials, I was told that due to Colombia’s inability to maintain (Russian-made weapons) in active service, they were ready to do so and send it to Ukraine," he said, answering to a question from TASS.

Petro stressed that his country’s "Russian weapons will not be used in this conflict.".

Scholz Decided to Send Leopard 2A6 Tanks to Kiev, German Media Reports

The German government has decided to send a company of Leopard 2A6 tanks to Ukraine, German media reported on Tuesday, citing sources. According to the publication, these tanks are now in service with the Bundeswehr.

The development came on the heels of US media reports that the Biden administration is considering delivering a "significant number" of Abrams M1 tanks to Ukraine.

Earlier, German media suggested that Chancellor Olaf Scholz, in a conversation with US President Joe Biden on Tuesday, made it clear that Germany would supply Ukraine with Leopard 2 tanks, but on the condition that Washington also send its Abrams tanks.

On January 18, US Under Secretary of Defense for Policy Colin Kahl said that the Abrams tank is a very complicated piece of equipment, which is "expensive, hard to train on" and has a jet engine, so it will be difficult for Ukraine to maintain.

Addressing the WEF on the same day, Scholz highlighted that Germany was among the leading countries in terms of support for Ukraine and reaffirmed that his country would continue to provide assistance. At the same time, he rejected any unilateral steps on the issue, stressing that all decisions should be made in coordination with allies, especially the United States.

Later, however, German government spokesman Steffen Hebestreit denied that Scholz ever demanded that the United States deliver Abrams tanks to Ukraine as a precondition to Germany's own sending of Leopard tanks.
