China-US ties have sunk to their lowest point since the normalization of relations in 1979, with problems stemming from the trade and tech wars launched by the Trump administration in 2018, complemented by the Biden White House’s repeated violations of the One China policy on Taiwan.

Taiwan is a security "red line" for China which Washington must never cross, Foreign Minister Wang Yi has indicated.

“In response to recent erroneous words and deeds by the United States on the Taiwan issue and Washington’s attempt to draw a line in Sino-US relations, President Xi Jinping comprehensively and systematically expounded on the origin of the Taiwan issue and China’s principled position, clearly pointing out that Taiwan issue is at the center of China’s core interests, and the core of Sino-US relations,” Wang indicated in a Foreign Ministry statement Sunday, summarizing President Xi’s trips to the G20 and APEC summits this week.

Stressing that “‘Taiwan independence’ is incompatible with peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait,” and that “the Chinese people will never agree to anyone who wants to separate Taiwan from China,” Wang warned that the issue is the “political foundation and the main red line that no one can cross.”

The Chinese top diplomat urged Washington to do its part to stick to the "Four No’s and One Without" pledge given by former Taiwanese President Chen Shui-bian in 2000, which committed Taipei to maintain the status quo across the Taiwan Strait.

In his talks with President Joe Biden, Xi called on Washington to abandon its “zero-sum game” approach to China, “establish a tone of dialogue instead of confrontation,” and “adhere to mutual respect and peace,” according to Wang.

Xi was also said to have slapped down US criticism on issues including democracy and human rights, and to have informed his American interlocutors that “the United States has American-style democracy, and China has Chinese-style democracy,” and that both countries must recognize and respect one another’s “different systems and paths.”

Taiwan Strains

China-US ties, already rattled by Donald Trump’s trade and tech wars, sunk to new lows under President Biden amid his repeated pledges to “defend” Taiwan against “Chinese aggression,” and thanks to the ramping up of US arms sales to the wayward island.

In his address at the 20th Congress of the Chinese Communist Party last month, President Xi reiterated that the PRC is committed to peaceful reunification with Taipei, characterizing integration under the One Country, Two Systems model applied to Hong Kong and Macau as “the best way to realize unification across the Taiwan Strait.”

Xi also warned that “Taiwan is China’s Taiwan,” and that Beijing would “never compromise to renounce the use of force” to resolve the issue to prevent “interference by outside forces and the few separatists seeking ‘Taiwan independence’” from trying to permanently separate the island from the mainland.

Officials in the White House and the Pentagon have spent months accusing Beijing of making preparations to “invade” the island in the near future, and Washington has promised to “support” Taipei “militarily” by providing training and equipment.

Washington ramped up tensions with China over Taiwan this summer as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi visited the island. Her trip opened the floodgates for a series of visits to the island by other House lawmakers, senators, governors, and other officials, most recent among whom was a commissioner of the Federal Communications Commission (the US agency in charge of censoring indecent content in broadcasts).

China slammed the visits as a violation of the terms of agreements cementing Sino-US relations, which prohibit US diplomatic contacts with Taipei, and kicked off weeks of military drills around the island. Beijing also sanctioned Pelosi, her colleagues, and US arms makers, which have been shipping weapons to Taiwan.

The White House formally distanced itself from Pelosi’s visit, telling reporters back in August that “the military thinks it’s not a good idea right now.” However, National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan defended the trip, saying it was “not unprecedented” and “not threatening to China.”

Former Japanese PM says Zelensky has caused suffering to many Ukrainians - paper

Former Japanese Prime Minister Yoshiro Mori has censured Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky for having caused suffering to many of his fellow citizens, says an article published on the website of The Nikkei newspaper on Sunday.

"Why is it that everyone criticizes Russian President (Vladimir) Putin, but no one bashes Zelensky? He has caused suffering to many Ukrainians," the former prime minister said, speaking at an event organized by Muneo Suzuki, a member of the upper house of parliament, in Tokyo on November 18.

"The Japanese media practices a one-sided approach, they act in accordance with Western sources of information. I can't shake the feeling that they use only American and European media publications," Mori noted.

In addition, Mori expressed the opinion that the US has taken a one-sided position on the situation around Ukraine, which affected Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida's stance on the issue.

Yoshiro Mori, 85, was Japan’s prime minister from April 2000 to April 2001.

"I don't quite understand why only President Putin is criticized while Mr. Zelenskyy isn't taken to task at all. Mr Zelenskyy has made many Ukrainian people suffer," Mori told a political gathering in Tokyo.

The former premier also lashed out at Japanese news outlets, saying their "one-sided" reporting on the war in Ukraine gives him the impression they "only rely on reports from Europe and the United States."

Mori made the remarks at a gathering related to Muneo Suzuki, another veteran lawmaker known for close ties with Russia and his efforts to resolve the issue of Russian-held Japanese islands off Hokkaido.

In February last year, Mori came under fire after telling an Olympics-related gathering that meetings involving women tend to drag on. He was replaced in the chief organizer role by Seiko Hashimoto, a former female Olympian.

The Tech CEO Spending Millions To Stop Elon Musk

Dan O’Dowd says Tesla’s “Full Self Driving” software shouldn’t be on the road. He’ll keep running over test dummies until someone listens.

Dan O’Dowd says Tesla’s “Full Self Driving” software shouldn’t be on the road. He’ll keep running over test dummies until someone listens.

Dan O’Dowd is on a one-man crusade to challenge what he sees as the cavalier development of dangerous technology, starting with Tesla’s ‘Full Self Driving.'

to expose what he sees as incomplete and unsafe software being used in cars and power plants and in cybersecurity. That hasn’t happened yet, but the company has steadily upgraded Autopilot over the years, allowing drivers to give up more control over their vehicles, though Tesla insists they must stay alert at all times. Full Self-Driving Beta represents the latest version of Tesla’s tech,

with a Tesla owners group posted in June, Musk said successfully building self-driving software is “the difference between Tesla being worth a lot of money and being worth basically zero.”.any more to meet safety standards.O’Dowd’s strategy is straightforward: Find proof that Tesla’s software makes serious mistakes and get that evidence in front of the public and regulators.

Dan O'Dowd, the California tech executive who is running for Senate to bash Elon Musk, in April 2022, launched a multi-million-dollar national TV ad campaign Tuesday calling for the Tesla founder's self-driving vehicles to be banned from American roads.

”It fails all the time,” O’Dowd said during the 15-minute call, which an aide said he was taking between hours of planned business meetings.

O’Dowd, the founder and chief executive of Green Hills Software and a self-described billionaire from Santa Barbara, also confirmed that his team includes the venerated Democratic admaker Mark Putnam and that veteran party operative John Blair is managing the campaign. Tim Maltin, a high-powered public affairs executive in London, is on board to help the novice Democratic politician with press and social media, O’Dowd said.

California’s political graveyard is littered with the carcasses of wealthy self-funding candidates with no government experience who bring in boldface names to help with their high-dollar runs only to suffer humiliating defeats. The main questions swirling around O’Dowd is not whether he can win, but if he wants to, what victory for him looks like and whether he complicates matters for fellow Democrats along the way.

O’Dowd wouldn’t say he was using a Senate campaign purely as a means of drawing attention to his pet issues, as the people familiar with his plans anticipated that he would. Nor would he explicitly say if he was actually trying to win the contest. Qualifying for the ballot and formally running affords him a higher degree of first amendment protection for his loaded claims about Tesla and makes it far more likely TV stations will air the anti-Tesla spots his team produces.

Dan O’Dowd is one of the most loyal Tesla customers. When undergoing his midlife crisis, he bought two near-identical Tesla Roadsters, the first model the electric carmaker ever produced. Well, those were not the last Teslas he ever purchased; this year, he procured a Model 3 equipped with Full Self-Driving Beta, which allows the car to drive on its own on highways and busy city streets

The entrepreneur who has made his fortune by selling military software to customers has been using his latest Tesla to test and film the self-driving software. The results are not very Tesla-friendly. The tests show the car swerving across the centerline toward oncoming traffic, failing to slow down in a school zone and missing stop signs.

Only recently, he posted a video in which a Tesla in full self-driving mode could be seen mowing down child-size mannequins.

“If Tesla gets away with this and ships this product and I can’t convince the public that a self-driving car that drives like a drunken, suicidal 13-year-old shouldn’t be on the road, I’m going to fail,” O’Dowd said in an interview from his Santa Barbara office.

Aside from O’Dowd’s big stage, Tesla continues to develop its game-changing technology. During a Tesla event in September, Musk stated that since Full Self-Driving is already saving lives, keeping technology off of public roads would be “morally wrong.”

“At the point of which you believe that adding autonomy reduces injury and death, I think you have a moral obligation to deploy it even though you’re going to get sued and blamed by a lot of people,” Musk said.

Many followers of Elon Musk have criticized O’Dowd for his movements. Tesla sent a cease-and-desist letter in response to O’Dowd’s infant mannequin experiment. O’Dowd also claimed that his last Twitter ad was recently rejected.

However, Tesla fans are not the only ones who criticize. Safety experts have disputed whether objective rogue testing is the most effective strategy for more legislative measures.

“They’re doing it on public roads. It still raises the same ethical issues that you’re putting other people at nonconsensual risk,” said Phil Koopman, an associate professor at Carnegie Mellon University who has studied autonomous car safety for years.

“I’m not a fan, no matter who it is.”

“Consumers should never attempt to create their own test scenarios,” said National Highway Traffic Safety Administration spokeswoman Lucia Sanchez.

With Tesla’s full self-driving feature in mind, O’Dowd suggests that software be built thoroughly before being released. It is opposite to most leading technology corporations’ “move fast and break things” attitude. Tesla, he argues, has taken that attitude and applied it to public highways.

For ages, Tesla automobiles have come equipped with the Autopilot technology as a standard kit. However, the Full Self-Driving Beta function offered by the company is considerably superior to anything else.

O’Dowd is no stranger to brawls publicly. He authored multiple blog postings two decades ago warning that the Linux operating system, which was beginning to threaten his firm, was unsafe because foreign spies might introduce malicious code into it. But his cautions usually went unheeded.

This time, he decided to have the Dawn Project, a larger initiative, that revolves around Tesla’s software. Based on an analysis of dozens of hours of YouTube video, he began his campaign in January with an ad in the New York Times claiming that the software makes a mistake every eight minutes.

Then there came his run for the Senate campaign. He invested millions in television ads that included Tesla customers compelled to step in when their Full Self-Driving Beta vehicles made mistakes. Another set of adverts contrasts Musk’s predictions for the day when his cars will be able to drive themselves with the fact that they will still need close driver supervision.

To ease any residual doubts about his techniques, O’Dowd stated that he planned to repeat the tests, this time in front of the press, authorities, Tesla enthusiasts, and even Musk himself.

The Hawaii politician, once considered a rising star in the Democratic Party, quit the party last month, attacking its leadership for being an “elitist cabal of warmongers driven by cowardly wokeness.”

Former Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard has ripped into President Biden, the Washington elite and the US military-industrial complex, accusing the government of wringing Americans dry by hiring an army of Internal Revenue Service agents, while sending billions of dollars to the MIC and unaccountable and corrupt actors in Ukraine.

“We have politicians from both political parties who are the permanent Washington elite, and who must be held accountable for what they’re doing with our taxpayer dollars and how they’re undermining our national security as they push us closer and closer to the brink of nuclear catastrophe,” Gabbard said, filling in for Fox News host Tucker Carlson on a special anniversary edition of Tucker Carlson Tonight this week.

Demanding that Washington “stop giving a blank check to Ukraine and demand accountability” for the tens of billions of dollars already sent, Gabbard stressed that much of this money has gone to the US military-industrial complex, which has already made “trillions of dollars” off of US wars abroad.

“Now the Biden wants to hire 87,000 new IRS agents to go over every receipt and every deductible of American taxpayers with a fine tooth comb, squeezing every penny that they can. (For) the Ukrainian government and their corrupt bureaucrats and oligarchs, and the defense contractors who are profiting from all these weapons, the Biden administration requires no receipts at all. Why is this? Is because they know that most of this money, our taxpayer dollars is going to corrupt bureaucrats…Their actions expose who they really care about. It’s not us,” Gabbard said.

The politician-turned-commentator complained that as Washington continues to ship cash and troops to conflicts abroad, the White House and Congress are failing in their duty to care for America’s veterans.

“As we speak here we have soldiers who are forced to rely on food stamps to feed their families, soldiers who are living in uninhabitable conditions, and those who are not getting the care that they need for service-related injuries, illnesses and diseases,” Gabbard said.

Gabbard, 41, served as a congresswoman in the House of Representatives between 2013 and 2021, and as vice chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee between 2013 and 2016. She quit DNC vice chairwomanship in protest of the primary process, accusing DNC chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schulz of rigging the vote in favor of former Obama secretary of state Hillary Clinton against Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders.

Gabbard served two tours in the Middle East, including a tour in Iraq, as a member of the Hawaii National Guard, and ran for president in 2020, where her evisceration of former California Attorney General Kamala Harris by pointing to the latter’s record of incarcerating African Americans on petty drug offenses forced Harris to drop out of the race before any primaries or caucuses were held.

Gabbard has long been among the most outspoken politicians in the US when it comes to foreign affairs, travelling to Syria in 2017 and condemning Washington’s attempts at regime change there, and slamming US aid for Ukraine, citing the danger of the conflict escalating into a Third World War with Russia.

After months of media reporting citing fears that US arms sent to Ukraine have been appearing on international weapons black markets, even US allies in Europe have begun to express concern over the matter, citing military-grade armaments falling into the hands of criminal groups.

Meanwhile, the Biden administration has confirmed that it has deployed a "small number" of troops to Ukraine to audit Western weapons deliveries, raising tensions with Moscow amid concerns over what would happen if a Russian missile or airstrike killed Americans during an attack on a Ukrainian ammunition depot.

Much of what Barovier&Toso produces is custom-made, and very expensive. On the lower end is the new Opera table lamp, inspired by the Opéra Garnier in Paris and designed by Philippe Nigro ($6,250).

evys1bk0">In 2015, the business’s owner, Jacopo Barovier, was ready to retire, and the only younger Barovier was unwilling to enter the business. After searching for a buyer with respect for artistry and heritage, Mr. Barovier decided to sell the business to Rinaldo Invernizzi, a local art collector and painter (who is having his first personal exhibition, titled “Smeraldo. Antracite. Cobalto,” as part of the 2022 Venice Biennale.)

Foto Pria Menggunakan Ponsel Pada Perang Dunia II Dilihat Agog - Penggemar Penjelajah Waktu

Who,” menurut Mirror.
