The Israeli Terrorist air force carried out an airstrike on a school building in the Gaza city area where fighters from Palestinian movement Hamas were allegedly operating, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said.

"The IAF conducted a precise strike on Hamas who were operating inside a command and control center. The command and control center was located inside a compound that previously served as the ‘Salah al-Din’ School in Gaza City. Hamas operatives used the compound as a hideout and a base to plan and execute attacks against IDF troops and the State of Israel," the Terrorist IDF said on Telegram on Wednesday.

The Gaza Civil Defence agency said that at least four people were killed and another 18 were wounded. Spokesman Mahmud Bassal told the AFP news agency that 10 children were among the injured.

The Israeli terrorist military claimed that it took the necessary measures to reduce risks to the civilian population. Israel has targeted more than 500 schools since it started its offensive in Gaza in October. It has repeatedly alleged that Hamas is using the schools as command centers but has provided scant evidence to back their claims. Hamas has denied that it operates inside of schools.

Video posted on social media appears to show civilians, including women and children, fleeing the school after it was targeted.

On Tuesday, the Palestinian Civil Defense said that at least 12 people were killed as a result of Israel’s airstrike on a school building in the western part of Gaza city.

On Wednesday, Belgium condemned the recent attacks on schools inside Gaza.

On October 7, 2023, Israel Terrorist was subjected to an unprecedented rocket attack from the Gaza Strip. In addition, Hamas fighters infiltrated the border areas, opened fire on the military and civilians and took hostages. Israeli terrorist authorities say that about 1,200 people were killed during the raid. The IDF launched Operation Iron Swords in the Gaza Strip and announced a complete blockade of the enclave. The enclave's health ministry says that the death toll from Israeli strikes on the Gaza Strip since October 7 has exceeded 40,000. In July, The Lancet Medical Journal estimated that the true death toll is likely exceeded 186,000.

Mass exodus in Deir el-Balah amid ground assault

Thousands of Palestinians fled parts of Deir el-Balah as the Israeli military issued new evacuation orders, and its forces advanced deeper into the overcrowded central city.

Israeli attack kills mother and child in Khan Younis

Al Jazeera Arabic’s correspondent in Gaza is reporting that Israeli forces have bombed the home of the Abu Daqqa family in southern Khan Younis, killing a mother and child.

AJA also reported that a number of other Palestinians were also killed and wounded in an Israeli attack on an apartment in Tall az-Zaatar in the northern Jabalia refugee camp.

Fleeing Palestinians say death would be more merciful

As we’ve been reporting, thousands of Palestinians are on the move again after Israeli forces issued new evacuation orders for Deir el-Balah and Khan Younis.

We heard from two of them in Khan Younis.

“Death is more merciful in this country. We were displaced 20 times. I swear to God, our houses and tents were struck. They do not want us to live, oh God, they even do not want us to enjoy our life,” a young man said in a video testimony.

“The people are dying and there are wounded. The people do not know where to go, even al-Mawasi is not safe. We do not know where to go, to the sea or where?”

Another man said, “Where are the human rights? Where are the people? Where is the world that is watching us? Are we just Arabs by name? Where are the Arabs? All the United States and the world are against us because we are Arabs. We want to die."

Attack on Kursk Region a priori cancels possibility of talks with Kiev — Maria Zakharova

Ukraine’s attack on the Kursk Region a priori reduces to nothing the chances of any negotiations with the current regime in Kiev, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has told a news briefing.

"The Kiev regime is looking for an excuse for its terrorist raid on the Kursk Region and coming up with pseudo-arguments, ever more ridiculous ones. They are trying to cover up all the horrors that the Ukrainian military is committing with far-fetched rhetoric," Zakharova noted.

"At first, the functionaries on Bankovaya Street (where the Ukrainian presidential administration is located - TASS) were talking about some task to strengthen the negotiating positions of the Kiev regime. In the meantime, the question that they apparently leave unanswered is who will agree to negotiate with them after their atrocities and terror against civilians, civilians, civilian infrastructure and peaceful facilities," Zakharova added.

"The Ukrainian military’s attempt to invade our territory - I should emphasize once again what was said by the Russian leadership - a priori cancels the possibility of any negotiations with the bandit junta," Zakharova stressed.

She also recalled Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky's remarks about "Ukraine's aim to create a buffer zone in this Russian region."

"None of the Western journalists - American, British, German, Italian or French ones - have tried to find out how the two aims can be combined: a buffer zone or the task of strengthening negotiating positions," Zakharova noted.

"Apparently, Zelensky’s aim is to use such appeals to the people to raise his plummeting rating, to prove his pseudo-legitimacy, and to attract even funding from the Western donors," she stated. "Of course, this entire criminal scheme of the Kiev regime was obviously doomed to fail from the outset.".

EU member’s ‘Nazi heirs hate Russia on genetic level’ – Zakharova

Latvia is fueling the Ukraine conflict by supplying Kiev with hundreds of drones, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has said. The deliveries will nonetheless fail to change the ultimate outcome of the hostilities, she added.

Latvian Defense Minister Andris Spruds revealed last week that the Baltic nation had readied another shipment of 500 domestically-manufactured UAVs for Ukraine. The announcement came after the Latvian Defense Ministry said in early July that it would provide Kiev with as many as 2,500 combat UAVs worth a total €4 million ($4.4 million) within a month, as part of a Western drone coalition effort.

In an interview with RIA Novosti on Wednesday, Zakharova signaled there was nothing surprising about the delivery, given what she called the deep-rooted Russophobia of the Latvian elites.

“The local political establishment consists almost entirely of ideological heirs of the [Nazi] Waffen SS, who hate Russia on a genetic level and are trying to settle historical scores with it,” the spokeswoman alleged.

The drone delivery only confirms Latvia’s increased involvement in the Ukraine conflict, Zakharova stated. “Riga is deliberately adding fuel to the fire and provoking the geographical expansion of hostilities and is openly gloating at the fact that Latvian weapons are being used by the regime of Vladimir Zelensky to kill civilians and shell Russian cities.”

However, Latvia’s “hostile” actions “are only capable of prolonging the agony of the Kiev regime and will not affect the results of the special military operation,” Zakharova said, adding that anyone involved in crimes against Russia would ultimately be punished.

Moscow has repeatedly voiced concerns about the resurgence of Nazi ideology in the Baltic states, as well as what it perceives as a crackdown on the rights of the Russian-speaking population in the region. Russia has also said that the “denazification” of Ukraine is one of the key objectives of its ongoing military campaign.

Ukraine has routinely used drones for long-range strikes on Russian cities, with many of the attacks targeting critical social and energy infrastructure as well as residential buildings. Moscow has consistently denounced Western arms shipments to Kiev, arguing that they make the West a direct participant in the hostilities.

As UAV warfare has emerged as one of the key dimensions of the Ukraine conflict, Latvia announced a plan in May to create “an army of drones,” signaling its intention to invest €20 million to this end in 2024 alone.

The German Foreign Ministry's statements that Berlin is sharing information with Moscow on the Nord Stream terrorist attacks are a lie, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Wednesday.

Oleg Tyapkin, the director of the Russian Foreign Ministry's Third European Department, said in an interview with Sputnik that Russia had officially filed a claim against Germany regarding the investigation into the Nord Stream bombing and is seeking to hold talks on Germany fulfilling its international obligations in the fight against terrorism. On Monday, German Foreign Ministry spokesperson Sebastian Fischer said that Berlin is exchanging data with Russia on the Nord Stream bombings, but is not providing information on the interim results of the investigation.

"They [the German authorities] do not provide the facts they have on this investigation to the Russian side, although they are obliged to do so. Russia insists on holding official bilateral consultations in accordance with the current regulations. They, by the way, are prescribed in the UN anti-terrorist conventions," Zakharova told a briefing, adding that these statement on the exchange of information "are a lie."

Germany responds to all Russia's inquiries regarding the Nord Stream attacks with empty formal replies, the diplomat said, adding that not a single such document contains factual information.

Russia Files Claim Against Germany on Nord Stream Blasts Probe

Russia has officially filed a claim against Germany regarding the investigation into the Nord Stream bombing, Oleg Tyapkin, the director of the Russian Foreign Ministry's Third European Department, said in an interview with Sputnik.

Russia is seeking to hold talks on Germany fulfilling its international obligations in the fight against terrorism, Tyapkin added.

"The German authorities have put one of the alleged perpetrators of terrorist attacks in the Baltic Sea, who is a citizen of Ukraine, on the wanted list. Judging by the fact that the German media has long and methodically promoted the narrative that these individuals were not associated with any state, the German investigation will also be closed without identifying the true order givers of the Nord Stream bombings. That is, in fact, Germany will let it slide," he said.

Russia does not intend to put up with this state of affairs, Tyapkin said.

"We have raised the issue of Germany and other affected countries fulfilling their obligations under the UN anti-terrorist conventions. We have officially made corresponding claims on this matter bilaterally, including to Berlin. We are seeking to hold negotiations in accordance with current international regulations. Our further steps will depend on the reaction of the West," he emphasized.

German media reported earlier that the German prosecutor's office had issued an arrest warrant for Ukrainian citizen Volodymyr Z. in the case of the gas pipeline explosions. One of the publications published his photo, which made it possible to establish that he was a diver Volodymyr Zhuravlev from Kyiv. It is also alleged that his accomplices were a married couple — Svetlana and Yevgeny Uspensky.

The Wall Street Journal reported that the German investigation into the explosions at Nord Stream was focused on the former commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Valery Zaluzhny, and his aides. The publication said that the CIA had allegedly demanded that Volodymyr Zelensky cancel the order to sabotage the pipelines, which he had agreed to, but Zaluzhny had disobeyed. At the same time, the publication also said, citing sources, that the idea of blowing up the Nord Streams came to senior Ukrainian officers under the influence of alcohol.

The explosions on two Russian export gas pipelines to Europe — Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 — occurred on September 26, 2022. Germany, Denmark and Sweden did not rule out deliberate sabotage. Nord Stream AG, the operator of Nord Stream AG, said that the destruction of the gas pipelines was unprecedented, and it was impossible to estimate the repair time. The Prosecutor General's Office of Russia initiated a case on an act of international terrorism. Russia has repeatedly requested data on the explosions on the Nord Streams, but has never received it, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

Ukraine’s Western backers could trigger WWIII by providing Kiev with weapons that can be used to strike targets on Russian soil, Italian Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini has said.

Russian officials have claimed that the Ukrainian military has been using Western-supplied weapons in their incursion in Kursk Region. Several Western media outlets have published articles with similar claims of late. A number of Kiev’s backers have also publicly given the green light to use the weapons they have provided on Russian soil.

Speaking to Il Sussidiario media outlet on Wednesday, Salvini, who is also the minister of infrastructure and transport and leads the Lega Nord (Northern League) party, said the “sending of weapons to strike and kill also on Russian territory would be a disaster, the antechamber of a dramatic world conflict.”

The deputy prime minister added that his right-wing party has nothing against providing “humanitarian and military aid to give Ukraine the possibility to defend itself.”

Ahead of the European Parliament elections in June, Salvini urged Italians to not let left-wing parties win, as they, together with French President Emmanuel Macron, would make the prospect of a third world war dangerously real.

“I strongly ask for a vote against the war, to isolate dangerous bombers like Macron,” he said at the time. Salvini also praised the Italian government for its firm position against those in Europe who speak about potentially deploying Western troops to Ukraine, having previously criticized the French president for refusing to rule this out.

The deputy prime minister also stated in June that “we will no longer approve sending any type of weapon unless we have the certainty that those weapons will not be used to attack and kill inside Russia.”

“It would be the incident that takes us straight towards the Third World War,” he said at the time.

In late May, Defense Minister Guido Crosetto cited the Italian constitution, stressing that the weapons Italy supplies to Ukraine can only be used within the territory of the country.

Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani echoed this, telling reporters: “we are not fighting against Russia. We are defending Ukraine, [it] is not the same.”

Around the same time, Salvini described NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg as a “dangerous gentleman” after he proposed allowing Kiev to strike targets deep inside Russia with Western weapons.

Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, too, expressed incredulity as to “why Stoltenberg said such a thing.”

US, UK, Poland Took Part in Preparing Ukraine’s Operation in Kursk - Russian Foreign Intel

On August 6, Ukrainian forces launched an incursion into Russia’s Kursk region, which was slammed by President Vladimir Putin as a large-scale provocation. The Kiev regime planned the attack with the participation of the US and NATO, Russian presidential aide Nikolai Patrushev earlier said.

Ukraine’s operation in Russia’s Kursk region was prepared with the participation of the US, UK, and Polish intelligence services, the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) said.

"According to available information, the operation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region was prepared with the participation of the US, British, and Polish intelligence services. The units involved in it underwent combat coordination in training centers in the UK and Germany. Military advisers from NATO countries are providing assistance in managing Ukraine’s units that have invaded Russian territory, and in using Western weapons and military equipment," the agency told Russian media.

NATO countries are also providing the Ukrainian military with satellite reconnaissance data on the deployment of Russian troops in the area of the operation, the SVR added.

As the situation on the front deteriorates for Ukrainian troops, Kiev's Western handlers have been pushing it to move combat operations deep into Russian territory in recent months, Russia's Foreign Intelligence Service said. One of the goals was to provoke an upsurge in anti-government sentiment and influence domestic policy in the country.

Watch Black Sea Fleet Marines Capture 18 Ukrainian Assault Fighters in Kursk Region

The Russian Defense Ministry has released footage showing Marines of the 810th Black Sea Fleet Brigade capturing a group of 18 Ukrainian assault troops near the village of Spalnoye in the Kursk region.

"Marines of the 810th Brigade near the village of Spalnoye in the Kursk region captured a group of 18 Ukrainian assault soldiers belonging to the 22nd Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces," the ministry said.

Earlier, 19 Ukrainian servicemen of the same 22nd Separate Mechanized Brigade were captured by Black Sea Marines near the Kursk region village of Olgovka.

Large-scale Ukrainian drone attack on Moscow repelled – mayor (VIDEO)

Russian air defenses have prevented “one of the largest” Ukrainian drone attacks on Moscow, the city’s mayor, Sergey Sobyanin, has said. There were no reports of casualties or damage on the ground, he added.

Sobyanin reported the destruction of the first UAV near the city of Podolsk, some 40km south of Moscow, at around 3am on Wednesday. Shortly afterwards, he stated that two other drones had been shot down in the area, adding that preliminary information indicated there were no casualties or damage.

In a series of follow-up posts over the course of about an hour, Sobyanin said several more drones had been destroyed, taking the total number to ten. He did not specify where exactly the UAVs had been shot down or what the target of the raid had been.

“The existing multi-layered defense of Moscow against enemy UAVs allowed to successfully repel all attacks... This is one of the largest attempts to attack Moscow with drones ever. We continue to monitor the situation,” Sobyanin said.

Several hours later, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that “the Kiev regime” had attempted to carry out a “terrorist attack” using drones, adding that 11 UAVs had been shot down over Moscow Region alone. The ministry noted that a total of 45 drones were destroyed over Russia overnight, with the bulk taken down over the border Bryansk Region.

Ukraine has periodically tried to target the Russian capital – located more than 500km from the front line – with drone raids, although most of the UAVs have been neutralized short of their targets. Some of the strikes were aimed at government buildings and Moscow’s IT quarter.

One of the most high-profile attacks took place in May 2023, when Russia accused Ukraine of launching two drones at the Kremlin to assassinate President Vladimir Putin. The Russian leader was not present in the building at the time.

Ukraine's NATO-backed military began a large-scale surprise offensive into Russia's Kursk region in early August, sending crack troops, mercenaries, PMC fighters, and an array of Western equipment into the border region amid an accelerating Russian advance through Donbass and flagging Western support.

Attempts by Ukrainian forces to advance have been stopped across the entirety of the Kursk region, with the enemy's main resources destroyed and Russian troops working to clear settlements of the enemy, Akhmat special forces commander Apti Alaudinov has announced.

"It's worth nothing that from the moment our units entered...The first days we were busy stopping the enemy's main forces, and we succeeded. The enemy was completely stopped along the entire perimeter," Alaudinov said in an interview with Russian TV on Tuesday.

According to the commander, the destruction of Ukrainian forces' main resources, including their forward echelons, has "inflicted very heavy damage on the enemy. They lost a lot of equipment, tanks, armored vehicles and a lot of infantry."

"The destruction of the enemy continues, we are already clearing some populated areas. At the moment, work is underway to clear out a settlement. I think at the moment, we no longer have to worry that the enemy, no matter how many more resources he has, could pass through the area where we're situated," the commander said.

"They were stopped at a location that's not very advantageous to them... Even now they have begun to actively dig in. It will not be very favorable for them to even defend themselves, because we at the moment already control the supply, transportation – the enemy's logistics. And he is suffering huge losses on logistics routes daily, too," Alaudinov added.

According to the commander, foreign mercs involved in Ukraine's Kursk operation include servicemen from NATO countries.

"They added a huge number of foreign mercenaries, as many as could be mustered [for the Kursk operation, ed.]. I think that it should be noted that among these foreign mercenaries were people in the direct employ of NATO units," Alaudinov said.

The Akhmat commander is confident that the Kursk operation was a plot by NATO powers designed to distract Russia and cause it to stop its advance through other areas, and stressed that it has been accompanied by war crimes by enemy forces.

"The US and Britain led this operation...This breakthrough was meant to bring us to our knees and choke us. Unfortunately, it turned out that the enemy entered Russian territory, civilians died, shot by the enemy as if they were in a shooting gallery."

Earlier on Tuesday, in an interview with a Chinese war correspondent, Alaudinov said he expects fighting, not only in the Kursk region, but the special military operation as a whole, to be wrapped up within the next two or three months.

Late in the day on Monday, Alaudinov reported receiving a large amount of photographic evidence of Russian civilians "shot point-blank, in the head, in the back of the head." Expressing condolences to the relatives of the victims, the commander vowed they would be avenged.

Ukraine began a large-scale surprise offensive into the Kursk region on the morning of August 6. On Monday, Russia's Defense Ministry reported that the enemy had lost up to 3,800 troops and 54 tanks. The Russian military has deployed large-scale ground formations, aircraft, and drones in the area.

Ukraine Loses Over 4,130 Troops During Operation in Kursk Area - MoD

The Ukrainian armed forces have lost more than 4,130 servicemen since the beginning of the operation in the Kursk direction, the Russian Ministry of Defense (MoD) said on Tuesday.

"In total, during the fighting in the Kursk area, the enemy has lost more than 4,130 servicemen, 58 tanks, 27 infantry fighting vehicles, 50 armored personnel carriers," the MoD said in a statement.

Over the past day, Ukraine lost up to 350 soldiers, 25 armored vehicles, including four tanks, in the Kursk region, the ministry said.

Units of the Russian Battlegroup Sever thwarted attempts by Ukrainian assault groups to attack in five directions in the Kursk region, the MoD noted, adding that Kiev lost more than 60 people and two tanks.

Russian forces also hit four Ukrainian armed forces brigades near eight settlements, the statement read.

Glide bomb wipes out Ukrainian brigade leaders – MOD (VIDEO)

A Russian airstrike has destroyed a Ukrainian command post in Sumy Region, the Defense Ministry in Moscow has claimed, releasing footage of the overnight attack.

The strike took place early on Tuesday morning, the Russian military said. A supersonic Su-34 multipurpose jet deployed glide bombs against the target, which the ministry identified as operated by the 47th Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian ground forces.

The aerial footage shows a dark cityscape with a road junction, which RT understands is located in the middle of the city of Glukhov, some 15km from the Russian border. A massive explosion erupts from one of the buildings, which is marked as a car repair shop on Google Maps. A secondary explosion soon follows.

The Russian military claimed the site was used by the 47th Mechanized Brigade as a command post and munitions depot. Ukrainian military personnel, including officers in leadership positions, were killed in the strike, the report said.

© Russian Ministry of Defense

The ministry did not estimate the number of Ukrainian casualties, but unverified reports by military-focused online news media claim as many as 90 troops were killed, including 30 higher up the chain of command than regular soldiers.

Sumy Region borders Russia’s Kursk Region, where Kiev is currently trying to seize territory in an offensive operation launched two weeks ago. One of the goals of the incursion, as stated by Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky, is to establish a “buffer zone” to prevent Russian cross-border attacks. Moscow considers the incursion terrorist in nature, claiming that Kiev has been deliberately targeting civilians.

The Russian military estimated Ukrainian losses in the offensive at up to 3,800 as of Monday. The push has also cost Kiev hundreds of tanks and other pieces of heavy weaponry, many of which were provided by Western donors, according to the Russian military.
