GROZNY - About 10,000 Chechen combatants are fighting in Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine, Chechnya Head Ramzan Kadyrov said at a festive lineup of the republic’s security, defense and law-enforcement agencies in honor of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s 70th birthday on Friday.
"About 10,000 of our courageous sons are already fighting on the frontiers (in the area of the special military operation). Additional regiments will set off for the zone of the special operation in the coming days. Each day, our republic is receiving volunteers who trust our instructors and want to join the ranks of the Akhmat formations," the Chechen leader said.
This is a display of "the consolidation of Russian society that Akhmat-Khadzhi Kadyrov (the first head of the Chechen Republic) and Vladimir Putin dreamt of," Kadyrov stressed.
"Western intelligence has been waging a subversive information war, trying to make Russians believe that the Chechen Republic was not a part of Russia," he went on to say. "However, we have proven that we, the Chechens, are an inalienable part of Russia's big family," Kadyrov emphasized.
Regardless of the special operation’s outcome, "Russia and we will rub out the Satanists and the Chechen-speaking Shaitans down to the very last one in any place of the world," he assured.
"With the help of Allah the Almighty, we will cleanse the earth of this abomination," the Chechen leader vowed.
Lineup in honor of Russian president
A festive lineup of over 20,000 personnel of the defense, security and law-enforcement agencies of the Chechen Republic was held in the republic’s capital of Grozny on Friday, a TASS correspondent reported from the scene.
"Today our dear and beloved president, supreme commander-in-chief celebrates his 70th birthday. On behalf of all of us and on behalf of the entire Chechen people, I want to congratulate him and wish him health, love in his family and security in the state. The people of the Russian Federation have united around our dear president and safeguarded its independence and its sovereignty. I am confident that we will achieve all of this together," Kadyrov said.
Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) acting Head Denis Pushilin was also present at the festive lineup in Grozny.
"It is on the day of the jubilee of the true leader of (our) great Russia, the supreme commander-in-chief, the president of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, that I am confident that this immense Russia in its entirety wishes him strong health, happiness and, of course, new triumphs for our shared Motherland, which he will certainly lead us to," Pushilin stressed.
In this aerial photo, damaged boats and debris are stacked along the shore in the aftermath of Hurricane Ian, Thursday, Sept. 29, 2022, in Fort Myers, Fla.

Ian is the second-deadliest storm to hit the mainland US in the 21st century behind Hurricane Katrina, which left more than 1,800 people dead in 2005.
Hurricane Ian passed through Florida a week ago, but the number of victims continues to grow, 115 dead.
Boats are seen stacked in the Fort Myers Beach area
Hurricane Ian is already considered one of the deadliest in history after passing through the state of Florida. Until now, the authorities have confirmed the death of at least 115 people, a figure that unfortunately is expected to continue to rise.
According to the first data provided by the commission of medical examiners of the state, the more than one hundred confirmed deaths occurred both during the passage of the hurricane, and before -while residents were preparing- and after -trying to repair the damage-.
For nowthe youngest person to die during Ian is a 19-year-old Cuban woman, who came with a group of seven other migrants on a precarious boat to Florida. Their boat capsized in bad weather a few miles off the coast of Key West and they all perished.
The oldest person confirmed to have died is a 96-year-old man in Charlotte County who drowned after becoming trapped under a parked vehicle trying to shelter from floodwaters.. In general, most of the deceased were over 60 years of age, being the median age of confirmed death so far is 73 years.
The roads of Fort Myers are littered with boats, yachts and jet skis, after the passage of Hurricane Ian that hit the coastal city on Wednesday as a category 4 storm, leaving it decimated and unrecognizable
Already last week, with far fewer cases of confirmed deaths, the Governor Ron DeSantis warned that many of the deaths in these cases usually occur after storms.
“We have seen in recent storms that have affected the country that there are usually more fatalities after the hurricane than during its passage, for a wide variety of reasons”, explained DeSantis.
Residents of Florida’s devastated barrier islands are starting to return, assessing the damage to homes and businesses despite limited access to some areas. According to the Insurance Information Institute, only about 4% of homeowners nationwide have flood insurance although 90% of catastrophes in the US involve flooding. In Florida that number is only about 18%.
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, at a news conference says that 85,000 customers remain without electricity, down from highs above 2.6 million across the state. Also, he said rescue workers have conducted around 2,500 missions, particularly on barrier islands on the Gulf coast as well as in inland areas that have seen intense flooding. More than 90,000 structures have been inspected and checked for survivors.
And so it seems to be happening with Ian. At least two confirmed cases of suicide after the passage of the hurricane draw attention, apparently due to the despair of having lost everything. Both occurred in Lee County – the most affected – and involved two men, one in his 70s and the other in his 73s.
Some of the pets rescued from Mariupol have been either reunited with their original owners or adopted by new ones. Others, however, still remain in the shelter.
While the ongoing conflict in Ukraine has ruined the lives of thousands of civilians who live in areas ravaged by the fighting, it also affected numerous pets, whose owners were killed or who were abandoned in the ensuing chaos.
Enter Tatiana, owner of the “Forgotten Hearts” animal shelter in the Russian city of Rostov-on-Don, who has managed to save dozens of pets from the conflict zone.
Tatiana and her colleague from the shelter have made three trips to Mariupol during the past six months, in order to rescue pets who became trapped in the city that became the site of one of the most intense battles of the ongoing conflict.
The efforts of the two women have resulted in the rescue of some 120 pets – 40 dogs and 80 cats – whose owners either fled the city in a hurry amid the fighting or were killed.
“Finding the animals wasn’t difficult, they were everywhere,” Tatiana recalled. “They were crawling out of the ruins because they were hungry… Soldiers and those locals who chose to remain in the city directed us to areas where the animals were hiding.”
“Sometimes, people locked their pets inside at their homes when they left, thinking that they would be back in a couple of days,” said Tatiana. “These pets often ended up dead because we learned about them only a month later. Birds, pet rabbits and chinchillas died that way. Many cats survived but they were very emaciated; dogs too.”
She also noted that, while their primary goal was to rescue animals, she and her colleague also sought to help the civilians who remained in the city and who were very grateful for the aid.
“We brought pet food for cats and dogs, anti-parasitic drugs, and food for people. We pre-packaged everything in plastic bags – hygienic supplies, canned food, food that’s ready to eat – people there cook on open fires; there’s no water or gas,” she said. “We also brought candles, matches, coloring books and sweets for children, and a lot of water.”
As it turned out, a number of Russian soldiers deployed in the city shared their own rations with the animals stranded in the city and were eager to help the women with their rescue mission.
These soldiers escorted Tatiana and her colleague during their stay in the city and protected them when things got dangerous.
“We were being fired upon deliberately, because there wasn’t anyone but us there at that time,” Tatiana said. “It was right next to Azovstal, where we were trying to dig out animals trapped in the ruins. There were no people there, no one to feed those animals or to dig them out. There were two- and three-story buildings there; older structures. And when those buildings were destroyed, the animals who remained in the apartments escaped and hid in the basements there.”
About 38 of the pets Tatiana rescued from Mariupol have been reunited with their owners. Many others, however, remain in the shelter as their owners were either killed or simply turned their backs on their animals.
“The last time, I went there with a list of addresses, as owners from Russia and Ukraine asked me specifically to find their pets,” she said. “Some of the pets we managed to find, some we could not. All of the owners thanked us. For other ‘animal refugees’, we found new owners.”
At this time, Tatiana does not intend to return to Mariupol because her shelter has limited funds that are already stretched to the limit due to the need to care for the 126 cats and 200 dogs that currently stay at the shelter.
Patriarch Kirill.Kirill Zykov / Moskva News Agency
The head of the Russian Orthodox Church Patriarch Kirill said Friday that Vladimir Putin's reign over Russia had been mandated by God, congratulating the Kremlin chief on his 70th birthday.
"God put you in power so that you could perform a service of special importance and of great responsibility for the fate of the country and the people entrusted to your care," the patriarch said, joining a chorus of Russian officials congratulating Putin.
The patriarch praised Putin for "transforming the image of Russia, strengthening its sovereignty and its defense capability, protecting its national interests."
Kirill wished "health and a long life" to the Russian president who has been in power for more than 20 years.
He also called on worshippers across the country to pray for Putin's health.
"You gained the reputation of a national leader selflessly devoted to the Fatherland, sincerely loving the Motherland and giving all its strength to it," the patriarch said.
Kirill also wished him "unrelenting strength and God's abundant assistance."
The leader of the Russian Orthodox Church since 2009, Kirill has been a vocal supporter of the military operation in Ukraine.
He has close ties with Putin's government, backing conservative values over Western liberalism.

In the morning Chechnya's leader, Ramzan Kadyrov, delivered a warm congratulatory message to Russian President Vladimir Putin on his 70th birthday, after a week of criticizing how the Ukraine war has been handled.
"Russian President Vladimir Putin played a key role in the fate of the Chechen people," he said, adding that Russian leader "saved the republic" and "raised (it) from ruins."
Kadyrov said Putin's leadership has turned Russia into one of the most powerful countries in the world.
"Today, neither the collective West, nor Europe, nor even Ukraine can dispute this obvious and indisputable fact. And it will always be so! Putin has changed the world position of Russia and forced us to reckon with the position of our great state!" Kadyrov added.
The Chechen leader's message comes after he publicly criticized Russia's top generals this week, including Russian colonel-general Oleksandr Lapin, saying that if it were up to him, he would demote Lapin, deprive him of his awards, and "send him to the frontline with a machine gun in his hands to wash away his shame with blood."
Kadyrov, responding to the news that Ukraine had liberated the key eastern supply hub of Lyman, also suggested this week that Russia should consider using a small tactical nuclear weapon in Ukraine in response.
Foreign leaders congratulate Putin on his 70th birthday over phone
Russian President Vladimir Putin is receiving numerous congratulatory messages and telegrams on his 70th birthday from leaders of foreign countries, heads of international organizations and representatives of public and political circles, the Kremlin press service reported on Friday.
According to its information, the presidents of Kyrgyzstan, Cuba, Turkey and South Africa - Sadyr Japarov, Miguel Diaz-Canel, Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Cyril Ramaphosa - congratulated Putin over phone. The Russian leader also received a phone call from Kazakhstan's first president, Nursultan Nazarbayev.
"The phone conversations touched on the development of bilateral relations, as well as topical international issues," the Kremlin press service said.
Today, Vladimir Putin will also be congratulated by the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) leaders, who gathered for an informal meeting. The meeting is to be attended by the leaders of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. Earlier, a spokesman for Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov said that the head of state would not be able to attend the summit.
Putin almost never takes a day off on his own birthday, and most often spends it at work. Several major international summits have fallen on October 7 over the years. Periodically, Putin's work schedule brings him to his native St. Petersburg on his birthday, where the president not only receives congratulations, but also conducts business meetings and negotiations.
Birthday message to Putin on Belgrade billboards
Local media said the billboards were signed by the Konzervativni Pokret Nasi (a conservative/nationalist group) with letter Z written much larger than the others. The Russian military has been using the letter Z on their vehicles since the start of the invasion of Ukraine. T-shirts and other things have been sold by street vendors in the Serbian capital
The billboards in Belgrade feature Putin’s photo and read: “Happy birthday to President Vladimir Putin from the Serb brethren!” The posters are signed by a Pro-Russian right-wing group. Putin remains a popular figure in Serbia despite the attack on Ukraine and many in the Balkan country believe that the Russian president was provoked by the West into launching the invasion.

It was not clear how the Russian leader responded to the gift, Lukashenko's office revealed.
Putin made no mention the gift in televised remarks at the start of the meeting.
This is not the first time the Russian president has received a bizarre birthday gift.
Turkmenistan's autocratic president Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov gave Putin a puppy for his birthday in 2017. The central Asian shepherd puppy was a gift for the Russian president’s as he turned 65.
Tractors have been the pride of Belarusian industry since Soviet times.
Mr Lukashenko told that reporters he has a model in his garden which is similar to the tractor that he gave Mr Putin.
Russia is facing a sustained counteroffensive in Ukraine and has threatened to deploy nuclear weapons [File: Stringer/Reuters]
Armageddon is a non-scientific Jewish fantasy story, which is poured into a film to build an opinion that it will happen in the future. The US connected Nuclear Russia with the threat of Armageddon, namely the heroic resistance of US troops. There are two sides to what the US is showing. First, the US is in a state of fear if Russia will actually use Nuclear weapons, then in a situation of great fear, to frighten the enemy, is with threats. The other side of the US is controlled by the Jews.
"US President Joe Biden has warned the risk of a nuclear "Armageddon" is the highest since the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962, when Moscow spoke publicly about the possibility of using tactical nuclear weapons in its invasion of Ukraine."
Speaking to his Democratic Party donors late on Thursday, Biden said Russian President Vladimir Putin "is not kidding when he talks about the potential use of tactical nuclear weapons or biological or chemical weapons, because his military is, arguably, significantly underperforming".
The description of Biden's statement there has similarities between Biden's statements with Zelensky are identical in their lying similarities. Where Biden mentions the Russian military, it is significantly underperforming. If underperforming, how come the three regions of Ukraine can return to Russia's lap through a referendum ?
And isn't it as bad as the US military running in Taliban terror in Kabul Afghanistan leaving behind with ammunition and heavy artillery?
So it is important for the US to make a statement to show its puppet, NATO, that as a guarantor the US wants to be seen as having great power in the midst of porous conditions.
In other respects, it is also a form of hope, so that Europe will buy US gas, which until the Nord Stream pipeline was leaked, the European Union has not decided to buy US gas. Where previously Blinken when the Nord Stream pipe leak was a big opportunity. And that opportunity pays off. Meanwhile, the US (Demoorat party) has burning money from The USA Budget in Ukraine.
If Europe wants to get out of the gas and oil crisis, it must build relations with Russia, whose statement has never betrayed since World War II until today, not US.
And the threat of a biden with the threat of an armageddon event will certainly make Bladimir Putin smile, not fear.
