Kim Jong Un and His Daughter Attend Military Drills of Airborne Troops

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un led military exercises of the airborne troops of the Korean People’s Army (KPA) together with his daughter, the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) has reported.

The leader was accompanied by Vice Chairman of the Central Military Commission of the Workers' Party of Korea Pak Jong-chon, Defense Minister Kang Sun-nam and Chief of the General Staff Ri Yong-gil.

Kim praised the troops, noting that the soldiers were clearly trained "not only in ideological and political terms, but also militarily, technically and physically.”

According to the North's state-run Korean Central News Agency(KCNA) on Saturday, Kim instructed the paratroopers' drills aimed at inspecting their readiness to be mobilized for any military operation plan in "surprise wartime circumstances."

Stressing that the basic duty of the Korean People's Army is to prepare for a war, Kim ordered the troops to be firmly armed with a clear outlook on the war along with a strong will to confront the enemy and change history should a war break out.

Photos revealed by the news agency showed Kim standing with his daughter and apparent successor Ju-ae, as they inspected the drills, which came after Seoul and Washington wrapped up their annual combined Freedom Shield exercise the previous day.

Take Look at North Korean Leader Participating in New Battle Tank Training

North Korea has demonstrated its latest main battle tank at a crew competition, with the country's leader Kim Jong Un, Defense Minister Kang Sun Nam, and Chief of the General Staff of the Korean People’s Army Ri Yong Gil taking part in the demonstration.

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un personally drove the new combat vehicle during a training duel between tank units, calling it "the most powerful tank in the world."

Emphasizing the special role of tanks in modern warfare, Kim Jong Un ordered tank crews to conduct intensive drills and training exercises simulating real warfare so they can promptly and accurately carry out combat missions in unforeseen situations.

Pyongyang previously unveiled a new tank during a military parade in October 2020.
