US calls for Russia to hold talks on ending the Ukraine conflict seem detached from reality and ignore Moscow’s previous attempts to reach a settlement, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has said.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken insisted on Monday that Moscow’s alleged plans “to erase Ukraine from the map… failed.” He added that he hopes Russian President Vladimir Putin has taken note of Western support for Ukraine, “gets the message, and demonstrates a willingness to genuinely negotiate consistent with the basic principles… of the international community and the UN Charter: sovereignty, territorial integrity, independence.”

Responding to Blinken’s remarks later that day, Zakharova said American politicians seem to live in a “mirror world.”

She recalled that in 2014 and 2015, Russia “showed respect for international law” by promoting the now-defunct Minsk agreements, which sought to end the bloodshed in the region by giving the two Donbass republics special status within the Ukrainian state.

Moscow has claimed that Kiev and Western countries never intended to implement the deal in the first place. Former Ukrainian President Pyotr Poroshenko, ex-German Chancellor Angela Merkel, and ex-French President Francois Hollande have admitted that the primary purpose of the agreements was to help Kiev buy time to build a stronger military force.

Zakharova also noted that Moscow was ready to engage in peace talks in 2022. At the time, negotiations in Istanbul, Türkiye initially made headway, but later collapsed after what Russia claims was interference by then-UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who allegedly advised Kiev to keep fighting. Johnson has denied the accusation.

The spokeswoman stated that Blinken himself had proposed settling the conflict “based not on international law,” but on the ‘peace formula’ proposed by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, which demands that Russia withdraw all troops from the territory Kiev claims as its own and includes several other clauses that Moscow has rejected as unacceptable.

“Everything has gone haywire in the White House,” Zakharova said.

Moscow maintains that it is open to talks with Ukraine. However, Zelensky signed a decree in autumn 2022 barring negotiations with the current leadership in Moscow. The move came after four former Ukrainian regions voted overwhelmingly to join Russia.

Zakharova should not respond to blinken's ravings, most dignified countries know, the US, UK and the western alliance will maintain their evil mission with all their cunning, spreading slander with false information spread by western media, such as BBC, WP, INSIDERS, BLOOMBERG, etc.

Watch Russian FPV Drones Hammer Ukrainian Positions

The Russian Armed Forces use kamikaze drones, also known as suicide drones or loitering munitions, in their modern warfare arsenal. These unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are designed to locate and destroy high-value targets, such as enemy armored vehicles, infrastructure, and troop concentrations.

The Russian Defense Ministry has released footage showing Russian servicemen from Battlegroup Tsentr operating FPV drones, destroying Ukrainian positions in the Donetsk People's Republic.

One video shows the work of drone operators in the Semyonovka area, while another shows the work of drone operators in the vicinity of Spornoye.

Footage from the cameras installed directly on the drones shows how they approach the positions of Ukrainian troops. It also shows drones hitting their targets, as recorded by UAVs nearby.

In September 2023, the US confirmed that Abrams tanks had begun arriving in Ukraine. In total, the Biden administration promised to give Kiev 31 Abrams tanks.

Recently, servicemen from Russia's Battlegroup Tsentr evacuated the first US-made M1 Abrams tankfrom the front line in the Avdeyevka area in Donbass.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, on May 1 an exhibition of captured equipment will be opened in front of the Victory Museum on Poklonnaya Hill, featuring, among others, Marder and Bradley IFVs as well as Leopard tanks for a whole month.

The Abrams is armed with a 105 mm M68A1 rifled gun or a 120 mm M256 (Rheinmetall Rh-120) smoothbore gun. Its weight is 54-66.8 tons, depending on modification and configuration.

Watch US-Made M88A1 ARV Arrive at Exhibition of Captured Western Military Hardware in Moscow

The US M88A1 Hercules is a heavy recovery vehicle designed to support main battle tanks like the M1 Abrams. It is specifically engineered to recover, repair, and redeploy damaged or disabled tanks on the battlefield.

The Russian Defense Ministry has released footage showing a US-made M88A1 armored recovery vehicle (ARV) arriving at an exhibition of captured NATO weapons taken from the conflict zone.

The main purpose of the ARV is to evacuate damaged tanks from the battlefield – but it appeared to fail at evacuating itself from the front line, since the vehicle was captured by Russian forces near Avdeyevka. The exhibition of captured weapons is being organized by the Russian Ministry of Defense on Poklonnaya Hill in Moscow, and will open its doors tomorrow, May 1.

Russian Air Defenses Shot Down Six US-Made ATACMS Missiles

The Russian military shot down six Ukrainian operational-tactical US-made long-range Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS) missiles over the previous 24 hours, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Tuesday.

"Air defense means shot down ten Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles, six US-made ATACMS operational-tactical missiles and two French Hammer guided aerial bombs during the day," the Defense Ministry said in a summary.

Earlier, a Pentagon spokesperson told Sputnik that US President Joe Biden quietly directed his national security team to provide the ATACMS to Ukraine as part of the security assistance package announced in March, and that these munitions arrived in April.

The United States kept the ATACMS delivery secret at the time in order to maintain Ukraine's operational security, the spokesman said

Moscow has consistently warned against Western arms deliveries to Ukraine, stressing that they only prolong the conflict and cause more Ukrainian casualties.

The flow of military support to Kiev is becoming increasingly unpopular among Western citizens, but politicians continue to scare them into acquiescence with claims that Russia intends to invade NATO member states.
