Battlegroup East units supported by aviation and artillery destroyed an ammunition depot, a stronghold and a vehicle with Ukrainian army fighters near Urozhainoe settlements in the Donetsk People’s Republic, Battlegroup spokesman Oleg Chekhov said.

There are many speculations in Western states regarding a crash of a plane said to be carrying Wagner Group private military company (PMC) leader Yevgeny Prigozhin, all this is an absolute lie, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Friday.

"Leading units of the Battlegroup East with the support of artillery and aviation delivered a fire strike against the enemy in the vicinity of Urozhainoe. Two temporary stationing points of the Ukrainian army were hit; an ammunition depot, a stronghold, and a vehicle with fighters were destroyed. Concentrated manpower was hit. A strike UAV destroyed an armored personnel carrier with Ukrainian army infantry," Chekhov said.

Servicemen of the Battlegroup are demonstrating courage and dedication when accomplishing combat missions, the spokesman added.

Depleted Uranium Munitions Make Ukraine 'Unlivable' - Moscow

Deliveries of depleted uranium munitions to Ukraine by Western countries lead to radiation contamination of soils in the country and make it uninhabitable, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.

"Due to the supply of radioactive and highly toxic British and American depleted uranium munitions, Ukraine is turning into an uninhabitable land. Radiation contamination of the soil is already happening and is being objectively recorded," Zakharova said in an article on the kp.ru website.

She said the consequences of the use of such munitions could also affect neighboring Poland, where in May this year, as in the Khmelnytsky Region of Ukraine, there was a significant surge in background radiation.

"The reason is probably the same as in Ukraine: explosion of depleted uranium munitions placed in a depot in Khmelnytskyi," Zakharova said.

She said Ukrainians must demand that radioactive munitions be removed from their country as soon as possible.

"Enemy losses in the Donetsk direction amounted to up to 260 Ukrainian soldiers killed and wounded, one tank, two infantry fighting vehicles, two cars, a Polish-made Krab self-propelled artillery unit and two D-20 howitzers," the ministry said, adding that Russia also successfully repelled three attacks in this direction.

In addition, Russia repelled three Ukrainian attacks and Kiev lost up to 50 military in the Kupyansk direction, in the South Donetsk and Krasny Liman directions Russia repelled two attacks and Kiev lost a total of 205 soldiers, while in the Zaporozhye direction Ukraine lost 110 military with Russia repelling five enemy attacks, the ministry said.

As many as 73 Ukrainian drones have been shot down and suppressed by means of electronic warfare during the past 24 hours, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

"In addition, 73 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down and suppressed by means of electronic warfare during the past day," the ministry said in a statement.

Watch Russia's Tor-M2 Missile System Rocket Into Special Op Action

The Tor missile system, also known as the SA-15 Gauntlet, is a mobile air defense system designed to protect military and civilian targets from fixed-wing aircraft, helicopters, and unmanned aerial vehicles. The Russian Ministry of Defense has released footage showing Battlegroup Vostok's Tor-M2 anti-aircraft missile system carrying out the elimination of air targets and protecting troops from enemy air attacks in the Zaporozhye direction of the special military operation.

The Tor-M2 anti-aircraft missile system is capable of detecting, capturing and destroying up to 4 air targets simultaneously. It takes only 2 minutes to occupy a firing point, deploy the system and detect the target. It takes another minute to capture and identify the target, then the anti-aircraft missile is launched vertically.

"Western analogues of anti-aircraft missile defense systems can only dream of entering the flight path this way," the Ministry of Defense emphasized.

The means of objective control show that a Shark-type Ukrainian reconnaissance drone was eliminated by the Tor-M2 SAM system when approaching the line of contact. Drones like these pose a serious threat, they are the ones that guide the HIMARS missiles to their targets.

"The difficulty is that NATO drones fly at low altitudes. Tough terrain... But we shoot them down anyway. No one can hide from us," said the deputy chief of the Tor-M2 SAM system.

In the past few days alone, the Air Defense Forces' Tor-M2 SAM systems have shot down more than a dozen enemy UAVs: attack, reconnaissance and kamikaze drones.

Kremlin Calls West's Allegations Regarding Death of Prigozhin Absolute Lie

Kremlin Calls West's Allegations Regarding Death of Prigozhin Absolute Lie

Kremlin Calls West's Allegations Regarding Death of Prigozhin Absolute Lie

As previously suspected, when it happened we did not post the incident, because this would make western propaganda material to the world the goal remains the same, so that everyone hates and is hostile to Valdimir Putin.

On Wednesday, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations said that the Embraer Legacy private plane en route from Moscow to St. Petersburg crashed in the Tver Region, killing all 10 people aboard. Federal Air Transport Agency Rosaviatsia said that Prigozhin was in the plane. An investigation into the accident is underway.

There are many speculations in Western states regarding a crash of a plane said to be carrying Wagner Group private military company (PMC) leader Yevgeny Prigozhin, all this is an absolute lie, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Friday.

"Now, of course, there is a lot of speculation around this catastrophe and around the tragic death of the passengers of the plane, including Yevgeny Prigozhin. Of course, in the West, all these speculations are served from a certain angle. All this is an absolute lie," Peskov told reporters, commenting on the numerous statements by Western officials claiming that Prigozhin was killed at the instructions of the Kremlin.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has not held any meetings with Prigozhin recently, the official said, adding that he is not aware yet if Putin will go to Prigozhin’s funeral, as the president has a tight schedule in general.

When asked about the investigation, the official said that there are still few facts, noting that more details will have to be clarified in the course of the probe.

The official results of the investigation into the plane crash will be published, Peskov said.

The Wagner Group does not exist de jure as a structure, so it is hard to say what its future will be, Peskov said on Friday. "Let us not forget that there is no such structure, there is no Wagner PMC de jure. There is, indeed, the Wagner group, as the president has repeatedly said, which has made a great contribution to the special military operation... As for the future [of the Wagner group], I cannot tell you anything right now, I do not know," Peskov told a briefing.

An Embraer Legacy business jet with three crew members and seven passengers aboard crashed in Russia's Tver Region while en route to St. Petersburg from Moscow on Wednesday.

Putin Offers Condolences to Families of Those Killed in Private Plane Crash in Tver Region

On August 23, an Embraer Legacy plane crashed near the village of Kuzhenkino in Russia's Tver Region, about 300 kilometers away from Moscow. Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed condolences to the families of those killed in the private plane crash in the Tver Region.

On Wednesday, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations said an Embraer Legacy private airplane en route from Moscow to St. Petersburg crashed in Russia's Tver Region, killing all ten people on board. The Russian Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya) confirmed late on Wednesday that Private military company (PMC) Wagner Group Chief Yevgeny Prigozhin was listed among the passengers on board the flight.

A Man of Difficult Fate

Vladimir Putin said that he knew Wagner Group chief Yevgeny Prigozhin for a long time, and described him as a talented person of difficult fate.

"I knew Prigozhin for a very long time, from the beginning of the 1990s. He was a man of difficult fate, and he made serious mistakes in life… He was a talented person, a talented businessman, he worked not only in our country and worked with results, but also abroad, in Africa in particular," Putin stated during a meeting with Denis Pushilin, the acting head of the Donetsk People's Republic.

Wagner's Contribution to Fight Against Nazism in Ukraine

The Private military company Wagner has made a significant contribution to fight against Nazism in Ukraine, the president emphasized.

"It seems that the primary data indicate that employees of the Wagner company were also there. I would like to note that these are people who have made a significant contribution to our common cause of fighting the neo-Nazi regime in Ukraine," Putin stressed.

The president added that the country remembers, knows and "will not forget" about Wagner’s contribution to fight against Nazism.

Putin mentioned that the Head of Russia’s Investigative Committee reported about start of investigation of crash of plane with Prigozhin on board.

Lavrov's Statement on the Plane Crash With Prigozhin on Board

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov called for paying attention to facts and not to Western media reports when asked about the private plane crash in the Tver Region with Wagner Group chief Yevgeny Prigozhin on board.

"An investigation was launched immediately, a case was opened, investigators are working. I would suggest focusing on the facts, and not on what the Western media say," Lavrov told reporters.

France wants to mediate Russia-Ukraine talks to make itself center of attention — Lavrov

France is offering its services to mediate the Ukrainian crisis is mere grandstanding amid the difficulties Europe is experiencing, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told reporters.

"Knowing what is going on in Europe now, it (the desire to mediate - TASS) is probably a desire to make itself the center of attention, a desire to show how active you are and how you need to be supported," he pointed out.

Lavrov recalled French President Emmanuel Macron's recent contradictory statements about his intention to supply the Kiev regime with long-range missiles to continue the war with Russia, while at the same time displaying readiness to play the role of a mediator and call Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss the situation in Ukraine.

"If someone wants to make a contribution to the search for a settlement, they do not use a microphone," the top Russian diplomat said. "It is done through the appropriate channels," he added.

"Everyone knows this. For what purpose public, boisterous statements are made on one issue or another: that we will be a mediator, that we will give some long-range missiles to be fired on Russian territory - it is very difficult for me to see anything rational in these statements," Lavrov said.

In this regard, Lavrov pointed to the fact that "France has already been a mediator." "Mr. Macron's predecessor, Mr. [Francois] Hollande, was a mediator, a guarantor of the Minsk agreements, and then last year he suddenly said with pride.

'We didn't want to fulfill anything there. We had to buy time to pump Ukraine with weapons against Russia,'" Lavrov recalled the former French president's words, noting that the Minsk agreements had been endorsed by the UN Security Council.

"So when Macron says, 'Let's give [Ukraine] long-range missiles,' it's the same thing Hollande said when he was a mediator," the top diplomat summarized.

Russia, South Africa have good outlook for diversified cooperation — Lavrov

"The presidents identified - and will keep doing so - ways of further developing our relations in all areas and in the economy, investment, high technology, science, education, sports and military-technical cooperation," the top Russian diplomat said.

Russia and South Africa have a good outlook for cooperation in various areas, including economic and military-technical cooperation, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has told the media.

He is certain that relations between Moscow and Pretoria are "excellent and on the rise."

Lavrov recalled that South African President Cyril Ramaphosa had visited Russia twice this year.

"On both occasions, bilateral talks [with Russian President Vladimir Putin] took place. They were frank, useful and keynoted by trust. The presidents identified - and will keep doing so - ways of further developing our relations in all areas and in the economy, investment, high technology, science, education, sports and military-technical cooperation," Lavrov said.

He emphasized that Moscow appreciated the strong memories all leading politicians in South Africa retained about the role of the Soviet Union in the fight against Apartheid.

"We have a very solid historical and political foundation. On this basis we are now paying ever more attention to the areas of material cooperation that I have mentioned. We have very good prospects. I have no doubts about this," Lavrov said.
