The Czech-made drone will be thoroughly studied by engineers, and their findings will likely be used for further enhancing Russia's defense capabilities.
Russian volunteers from the Bars-10 detachment shot down this Czech-made drone using a portable air-defense system. The video shows the remains of the UAV in question, a Primoco One drone, which is used mainly for reconnaissance. According to the soldiers from Bars-10, this unmanned aircraft was heading towards the Russian city of Energodar in the Zaporozhye Region
The remains of the downed drone have already been handed over to military experts, who will meticulously study it and ferret out all useful information. The unmanned aircraft is a costly vehicle – its price tag exceeds 500,000 euros. Last November, Luxembourg supplied Kiev with six of these UAV models.
Russian Forces Eliminate Ukrainian Reconnaissance Unit in Donbass
Russian armed forces have eliminated a Ukrainian reconnaissance unit in the South Donetsk direction, taking one of the enemy soldiers prisoner, spokesman for Russia's Vostok troops grouping Oleg Chekhov told Sputnik.
"A reconnaissance group of the Ukrainian armed forces west of Novodonetskoe [rural settlement] was eliminated, an attack by an enemy infantry group north of Priutnoe (village) was repelled, the militants were destroyed, one was captured," Chekhov said.
He also said that Russian military prevented an attempt by Ukrainian forces to cross the Shaitanka River near Novodonetskoe.
Russia launched a military operation in Ukraine in February 2023. The latest Ukrainian counteroffensive began this June, mostly in Donetsk and Zaporozhye regions. Three months later, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the Ukrainian counteroffensive, widely described as slow, had failed.
Blinken’s Remarks on Success of Kiev's Counteroffensive 'Fiction' - Zaporozhye Official
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken's remarks about the success of the Ukrainian counteroffensive are nothing but false claims, while Kiev is succeeding only in wasting the lives of its citizens, Vladimir Rogov, a senior official of the Zaporozhye regional administration, told Sputnik on Friday.
On Wednesday, Blinken said that Washington had noticed "good progress" in Kiev’s counteroffensive.
"All this is nothing but fiction. If there is any progress, it is in the theft and laundering of Western money, including that of US taxpayers, which is being thrown into a black hole to keep the regime of [Ukrainian President Volodymyr] Zelensky in power," Rogov said.
He noted that Ukraine has become a gray zone into which billions of dollars are poured and where Western elites are making money.
"The West and the leaders of the gang of drug addicts and Nazis [Ukrainian government] are doing business on the death of the people of the post-Ukrainian space," Rogov added.
The Ukrainian counteroffensive began on June 4. Kiev has thrown into battle brigades trained by NATO instructors and armed with Western equipment, including Leopard and Challenger tanks. Three months later, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the Ukrainian counteroffensive had failed.
Since the start of the counteroffensive attempt, Ukrainian forces have only managed to penetrate Russian defenses near the village of Rabotino in Zaporozhye, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said. On Tuesday, he noted that Kiev had lost more than 66,000 troops and 7,600 pieces of military equipment since the beginning of the counteroffensive.
