Russia’s Su-25 "Frogfoot" is a single-seat, single-engine attack jet designed to provide close air support to ground troops. It is equipped with a 30 mm cannon and can carry bombs, rockets, and missiles.
The Russian Defense Ministry has released footage showing Su-25 attack jets annihilating a group of Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel, armored vehicles, and military equipment in the border area of the Kursk region, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
"Attack aviation crews of Su-25 aircraft struck with unguided air missiles a cluster of manpower, armored and automotive military equipment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the border area of the Kursk region. The strike was carried out with unguided air missiles on reconnaissance targets," the ministry said.
The Russian Defense Ministry added that after the use of air defense systems, the crews carried out an anti-missile maneuver, released heat traps, and returned to base.

The Russian air-defense system has intercepted 35 Ukrainian drones and four Tochka-U ballistic missiles over western Russia overnight, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Sunday.
"Fourteen Ukrainian UAVs [unmanned aerial vehicles] and four tactical missiles Tochka-U have been destroyed over the territory of the Kursk Region, 16 UAVs were downed over the territory of the Voronezh Region, three UAVs - over the Belgorod Region, and one UAV over each: the Bryansk Region and the Oryol Region," the ministry said in a statement.
On Tuesday, Ukrainian forces crossed the border into Russia and launched an offensive in the Kursk Region, capturing several villages. Russian General Staff Chief Valery Gerasimov said their advance deep into Russian territory had been halted. Russian President Vladimir Putin accused Kiev of a large-scale provocation.
Russian forces prevent Ukrainian forces from regrouping near Dnieper — Defense Ministry
Units of the Dnepr battlegroup prevented the Ukrainian Armed Forces from regrouping in the Dnieper area, head of the group's press center Roman Kodryan told TASS.
"Units of the Dnieper battlegroup carried out combat missions in the Kakhovka direction. They ensured control of the island zone of the Dnieper River and prevented the enemy troops from regrouping with artillery fire. They continued to destroy Ukrainian watercraft attempting to land on the left bank of the Dnieper," Kodryan said.
According to him, the Russian Armed Forces are also continuing to actively work to destroy Ukrainian FPV drones, reconnaissance and attack unmanned aerial vehicles.
